I saw Dr. Lazas only 1 time--at the recommendation of my family Dr. (I'm old, and my Doc insisted on some GI evaluation and my wife forced my hand, making the appointment.) Dr. Lazas was a nice guy, but I think I only saw him in the room for 9 minutes or less. I know Dr's are busy, but I waited over an hour for a 9 min visit? On my way out, I may have commented on this to an office person (Carol), who then got all passive aggressive on me. Won't be going there again.

I was sent to Dr Lazas for blood loss , severe anemia. he ordered EGD and colonoscopy, said he would fix any bleeding while he was in there and follow up with pill cam. He took out a polyp but didn't fix the 3 leaks, said not bleeding enough and pill cam wasn't necessary. I recently had a pill cam, found 30 leaks. EGD and colonoscopy fixed 10 and now going to Vanderbilt to hopefully to stop the other 20 leaks.

Years ago I had an endoscopy and Dr. Lazas told that I had Short Barrett's disease. He then elaborated and told me that it was imperative that I have an endoscopy done yearly to monitor the condition. He said this multiple times. I went back to Dr. Lazas each year for several years in a row and all he ever did was ask me how I felt. When I told him I was fine, he just told me to come back next year. I asked him if I did not need to have an endosopy and acted surprised and told me I did not.

Dr. Lazas diagnosed me with Crohn's Disease this past year and has carefully guided me through the steps that have now have me symptom free. He never rushes through on my visits and will always answer any and all questions that I have. It is evident that he has compassion for his patients and a true passion for his profession. His front staff and nursing staff are excellent. I have always gotten a call back from his office on the day that I called. Not only a call back but a resolution.

I have been a patient for several years. I became very ill in Ecuador & was hospitalized. Once stable I flew back to Nashville & went to Baptist (St Thomas). They thought the pain was coming from my back & released me. I was still in pain. I called Dr. Lazas office. He saw me that day. He was concerned & scheduled a procedure the next day to look in my stomach. He found several ulcers & treated me. Several doctors & 2 hospitals could not help me. I trust Dr. Lazas 100%.

Dr. Lazas is an excellent physician that I would highly recommend. I have a lot of confidence in him as he was able to accurately diagnose and treat a digestive issue that I had been dealing with for years. I'm finally having normal meals with family and friends again.

Dr Lazas has been my Gastroenterologist for several years as I have Crohns disease. Recently I was hospitalized and in serious condition and Dr. Lazas was instrumental in my returning to normal health. With the expertise of Dr. Lazas and his knowledge of Uleractive Colitis and Crohns disease I am happy to report that I am back to a normal, healthy life style without any surgery. Dr. Lazas is not a physician who is eager to perform surgery which is not the case with some physicians.

Wouldn't sign a recommendation for my standing desk. Event though I am having apparent issues dealing with hemorrhoids and celiac disease. Couldn't remember the results of my procedure, non sympathetic paper pushers. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

I've been a patient for a number of years. I was diagnosed with diverticulosis, and I have IBS. Dr. Lazas doesn't talk to me in any detail about my symptoms and my diagnosis and I'm never sure if he listens to what I'm telling him. I was in his office this week because of stomach distress over a 2-week period. He must have been tired because he tried to to suppress a yawn twice within 15 minutes. He prescribed dicyclomine to ease my stomach distress. May look for another gastro specialist.
