Exceptional PC doctor, highly recommended
I have been seeing doctor setter for several years he is an exceptional physician. He exhibits exceptional care and is highly knowledgeable. Very sorry to see him leave the pratice.

I was told that he was responsible to my insurance company to keep cost low. Denied me an MRI for my back until I spent 6 weeks at physical therapy. PT could not fix it. MRI showed herniated disc. Offered to send me to a pain management clinic. One session with an acupuncturist alleviated the muscle spasms, that allowed things to slip back into proper place. He kept me in pain for an entire summer to benefit my insurance company.

Dr. Setter spends the necessary time and is concerned about finding solutions. I am 65 years old and he is the best primary physician I have ever had.

Dr. Setter is a very knowledgeable and approachable physician. His understanding of a medical concern and ease in relating his preferred treatment to me were comforting. I highly recommend Dr. Setter. The staff at SMG Williamston were fantastic, and his partner, Dr. Edmunds, was very nice too.

Dr. Setter seemed to be educated well and reasonably personal. I was less than impressed with the wait - when I asked how I may avoid long waits in the future I was informed first thing in the morning or after lunch - but those appts. are not available. I was told to expect to wait a minimum of 20 minutes AFTER my appointment time, yet if I miss my appointment, I could be charged $80. And, if I miss it more than 3 times I'd be terminated as a patient. That is unacceptable to me.

I have finally found a doctor with whom I am comfortable. Dr Setter is an excellent communicator, explains things well. Although I know that his time is limited by. medicare(?), he does not make you feel rushed.
