Horrible experience
We brought my relative to this office and had a horrible experience. Would have been better to seek care in Cleveland.

He is a very caring expert. He helped me regain my eye site. I am a diabetic with severe retina damage detachments in both eyes and he corrected it to near perfect vision. I would recommend him to everyone. He is a true professional, that has very high standards and is above others. Expect the best. He is.

“Dr. Stephens is an excellent ophthalmologist along with his staff of professional doctors. Dr. Stephens performed surgery on my eye due to a macular hole. I am so very pleased with the surgery. I can see better each day. My eye is continually improving towards a healthy eye sight. I would recommend Dr. Stephens and his staff to anyone. Thank you all so very much for saving my eye sight.” ~Diane S

“Almost eight years ago I experienced a vitreal detachment which resulted in a very large opacity obstructing my vision in my right eye. It moved from side to side but was always visible. Everyday activities such as driving, reading and working were difficult and frustrating.” ” Over the years I sought help from several specialists; not one was willing to address my problem. One even complained that I wasted his time.” “I recently visited a new ophthalmologist for a routine exam. He could not understand why I had suffered with that opacity for so long and recommended I see Dr. Stephens for an evaluation. Could I finally hope for a miracle?” “When Dr. Stephens assured me that he could perform a vitrectomy to remove the opacity I was moved to tears. I agreed that we should proceed with the FOV. His genuine concern, as well as his technical knowledge and experience convinced me that the reward was worth any risks. The procedure went smoothly; exactly as he described it. Thanks! Karen

“I have been a patient at MetroHealth since the 1980’s. In 2005 I had a corneal transplant performed by Dr. Steinemann. Unfortunately, in the past year my body has rejected the transplant, and most recently the eye became infected and the retina detached.” “On March 9th, Dr. Steinemann and Dr. Stephens, will operate on my eye in tandem as the rejecting cornea is removed, a port hole placed in the eye, the retina repaired and a new cornea transplant attached.” “How fortunate I am to have a team with such skilled physicians and a family of wonderful staff supporting them.” “My sincere and heartfelt thanks … excellent health care that is provided to our community.” Doris S. from Cleveland

“Thanks to you and your staff for making possible the excellent results of my eye operation. My spider-like floater is gone from the center of my vision as a result of the vitrectomy you preformed.” “As an unexpected, but added bonus, the removal of the retinal membrane eliminated the distortions caused by my retinal scar. I had resigned myself to having to live with those distortions for the rest of my life. I am extremely pleased that you were able to correct this problem as well.” “The vision of my eye has improved nicely, ahead of forecast, and for that I am thankful.” “Thank you all, for what I consider to be a very successful outcome.” ~Bruce M.

I moved from Cincinnati to Ravenna in 2013. I was here 2 weeks and had issues with my retina. Had to have an emergency appt on Saturday night, and Dr met me at his office in Streetsboro. Ended up having eye surgery on the following Monday. I would highly recommend Dr Stephens for any eye issues. I now moved from Ravenna to Chardon and now drive to his Tallmadge office. He is caring, explains what is going on, and spends time with you. It’s been 5 yrs and I still won’t go to another eye Dr.

I would like to start this review out by saying Dr. Stevens is an amazing Doctor! I would recommend him to anyone I know. I was in a major car accident which left me almost completely blind in my right eye. I was told at the Hospital that I would loose my eye and never see out of it again. Dr. Stevens saved it and has made it possible to see. My sight isn't perfect but considering what my options were he is a miracle worker. I thank God to have found such a skilled doctor.
