Rare Find
I went to him several years before moving. I found some excellent traits of his practices. One was that he organized your history so it could easily be followed up on and he knew different issues you had. In any visit he questioned your progress. Visits were like he knew you and your health. Also one of the most impressive things he had done is have an educated member of his staff do follow up calls or report labs/tests. These were people that could answer questions or follow up with the doctor vs someone who knew nothing calling you back without any education. He was always friendly and professional. Once I broke my foot came in wanting my cass removed because it was irritating me and I was extremely distressed. We worked together on a resolution to do it with the complete understanding of what I must do to insure it healing properly. 20 years and no issues!!A doctor in the right job because he cares.

Dr. Stillwagon is smart. His office used to run smooth as silk. Could always get someone on the phone. However, he has implemented a new "system". Took nearly one week to get a call returned - a call about what can I take for this pain? Note should have been marked urgent. Ultimately, He made one prescription mistake, when it was brought to his attention, HE chose not to continue to be our Doctor. The mistake was not a big deal but he refused to admit it. This is a sad testament to his character

My experience with Dr. Stillwagon has been great. He is thorough and proactive with my care. He listens to my concerns and actively addresses them. The whole staff is friendly and very efficient (no long waiting times). Twice this year I have been squeezed into the schedule for same day appointments.

This Dr, has the worst bed side manner. He does not like to be questioned about anything. I asked about changing my medication and he said just go home and think about it so he could collect another co-pay. He wanted to me to think about what drugs I should take, but did not even discuss what drugs would be good for what I was wanting to change to. He just kept telling me to go home and make a plan. I would avoid this Dr. at all possible, he is rude and just is there to collect a co-pay!!

I have not Seen Dr. Stillwagon personally but have had a couple different appointments with other providers in the office. I would not recommend this office to anyone. The doctors are condescending, don't really listen to what you want or your concerns and I'm not sure how knowable they are with more complex issues, or even basic ones. Patient centered care is definitely not their specialty; I left feeling be littled. Look else where.

I've been with Dr. Stillwagon since 2000 and appreciate his more matter of fact and to the point style of care. In two situations, the strength of his experience was reflected in diagnosing a minor condition that would have required someone else to perform multiple tests and follow up appointments. I trust what you recommends, but also feel it is my responsibility to ask him questions and to raise symptoms or concerns versus having him guess at what might be my conditions.
