Dr. Donald Trimble, DO

I spent about 20 minutes with Dr. Trimble and I received more of an explanation about my back condition and possible solutions than I had at their Ocala office (I never did see Dr. Babu) or the back doctor at Orlando Health. Eventually his goal is to avoid surgery and he recommended a first starting point to try and help alleviate some lower back pain. Ironically, he referred me back to Dr. Babu for pain management, but given my past experience there, I will continue with my care in Gainesville.

Dr. Trimble make a health plan for your treatment and follow it to completion. Changes are made as you go.

Dr. Trimble is fantastic! The type of doctor you want when you've been battling debilitating back pain for years, ending in SSD. After having to resign from my job, going through endless X-rays, MRIs, Physical Therapy, and countless injections that were marginally effective, and short-lived, Dr. Antony referred me to Dr. Trimble, another great doctor at The Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Trimble listens to you, asks questions, and explains your options clearly. Together we agreed that I could benefit from a minimally invasive spine fusion surgery. I've never had surgery, but I feel safe and confident in Dr. Trimble's hands. I highly recommend him.

Dr Trimble was very helpful and appeared very concerned with my medical problems, relaid my medical information to me in a caring manner and explained it to where I could understand, and was very upbeat and personality cared about my prognosis moving forward. And the whole staff in Gainesville was extremely nice.

3 months post-op and no more nerve pain. I am so pleased with the care that I received.

I gave 2 stars because the office staff is friendly, helpful and professional. But Dr. Trimble’s PA is unprofessional and doesn’t represent him well at all. She makes promises she can’t keep. And instead of admitting she can’t keep them, she enlists office staff to discuss changes in your care plan instead of dealing with you directly. Dr. Trimble did my back surgery in 2014, and I was very happy with him— which is why I went back when my back was hurt again. But after never seeing him directly this time, I’m done with the Orthopedic Institute. His PA is terrible.

Everything was great, need some help on after discharge.

Doesn't listen to my concerns or problems. Too worried about what workmans comp wants and what they say compared to my issues. Doesn't listen to me or address the limited amount of movement I have or the level of pain I am in on a daily basis
