Dr. Donna Lerma, MD

Dr Lerma was my primary care physician at Bremerton Naval Hospital for six years until she left the clinic. She listened to my concerns and helped me to work through many different issues in a compassionate and caring way in a system that overworks its providers. She is greatly missed.

I have seen Dr Lerma for over 6 years and she diagnosed conditions that many other doctors had missed which ultimately resulted in life saving procedures. She is caring, compassionate, attentive and is the best doctor I’ve ever seen in all my 66 years. She’s an absolute asset to any organization that is fortunate enough to have her. As retired military I saw her at the Bremerton Naval Hospital and she diagnosed and treated my emphysema and referred me to an excellent cardiologist who performed a triple bypass last year. Without that diagnosis and referral I would not be here today. She is very matter of fact and direct which is a huge asset in getting to a specific problem. I was appalled at the negative reviews. Maybe you folks need to step back and listen for a change. I would give her my highest recommendation based on my interaction and experience with her. She’s a great physician that is obviously highly qualified and underrated

She entered into the appointment with an agenda to criticize. Attitude, tone, bias, and deliberately abrasive power assertion in the doctor patient dynamic created an immediately hostile interaction. All of the questions were posed in insinuating offense with the effect of putting me in a position of defense, blame, guilt, and shame. Medical “professionals” such as Lerma are a prime example as to why people avoid healthcare systems until it’s too late. She said she was resigning from the clinic I had the appointment with her from. Should a future employer see my review, I hope you require a thorough psych evaluation in your new hire onboarding.

I’ve seen her 4 times now within the year. She has always been rude. Laughs at my medical problems in my face. I’ve never had such an unprofessional doctor.

She has been my primary care physician for a number of years, and despite being rushed by hospital limits on the length of regular appointments, Dr. Lerma always expresses genuine concern for my entire physical wellbeing.

She used a very condescending tone with me, insinuated that I would abuse the referral system; criticized my handling of my migraine treatment, which was set up by a previous doctor at the same facility; treated me as if I was ignorant.
