Hopeful followed by let down
Dr. Kimbrough was very thorough on my initial visit. He gave a probable diagnosis, which gave me hope for an answer and proper treatment. But, then, everything stopped. No referrals were placed, no diagnostic tests were ordered. Nothing. A second visit came and went with the same results. Now, my infusion is going to be delayed 3 months to wait for the diagnostics to get scheduled. 3 months of worsening health because there was only follow through when I became obviously upset in some MyChart messages. He probably has the answer, but we still don’t know. I now have to tell my other MD to delay my treatment because of him, to get the proper diagnosis. It’s a shame, really. Great knowledge with no follow through.

Dr. Kimbrough was very dismissive of my symptoms and constantly was critical of my responses. Having medical background myself, he questioned me for using more technical terms, which is what I am used to for documentation. He was not willing to complete further evaluation for other conditions or make a documented referral to another specialty. His note included many thing that we did not discuss and are incorrect. Had he asked me, I would have been able to explain and provide him with more detail. He dwindled my symptoms down to being caused by my diagnoses mental illness (from years ago) and didn't consider other options that I have talked about with doctors who have known me for years. I would not recommend him to anyone and am extremely displeased with my experience.

Dr. Kimbrough's office staff are 100% incompetent. They are unable to do so much as fill a prescription to treat MS- his specialty. After more than a month of calling his office and using their online portal- they still have not gotten it right. They should be aware of how to write a simple prescription & send it to the appropriate pharmacy. If they can't do something this simple- I question how they could possibly do anything requiring actual skill related to the care of patients.

Dr Kimbrough may be a fine physician but the office staff leaves much to be desired. Trying to get through on the phone to the office you get sent to the general neurology department where the operators (especially Edna) are HORRIBLE!!! They do not care about you as a person/patient. The office also sent my refill to an unauthorized pharmacy where people I know work and now my private medical information has been revealed to my friends.

Highly knowledgeable about MS and its treatments. Very willing to explain and answer questions about MS and its symptoms and about treatment options. Very much takes patient concerns into account. I was extremely impressed w Dr. Kimbrough's caring and knowledge.--One of the top doctors I've ever encountered, and I've worked with doctors. He also has a wonderful, pleasant, understanding personality.
