Dr. Doron Raphaely, MD

Dr. Raphaely's mindful approach has been really helpful for me and my anxiety, especially with the way he mixes it with the western psychiatry. His approach is also very calm and considerate and I have really enjoyed working with him over the past 10 years

I was severely depressed after my husband died, had to retire from my job, and in major pain for two years following spinal fusion surgery. He told me I was "not a likeable person" -- and I have to pay him for that? One of the reviews said that it all depends on "whether he likes you." Well, he didn't like me, because I was too depressed. Also said he only did "medication management," not talk therapy, when I needed both. Another review said he 'had a great sense of humor,' but nothing could be further from my experience -- he was grim and basically hostile. Don't go there if you are feeling weak or vulnerable -- he dislikes 'people like that.'

Until I found Dr. Raphaely I had a lot of trouble finding a psychiatrist that wouldn't just throw pills at me, but rather listen intently to what I had to say and offer alternatives for different solutions, rather that be prescription or otherwise. He is honest and straightforward. He won't sweet talk you, he's reminds you drugs can't do it all and you have to put in the work too, which I appreciate. He is thoughtful and not rushed with your time. My experience has been the best in Seattle.

This doctor is condescending, arrogant and talks down to patients like they're just his customers. I regret having spent time talking with him, there's better psychiatrists in Seattle.
