Dr. Dorothy Maes, MD

Dr Maes is extremely thorough and doesn’t give up until she figures out what is going on. I am so grateful that she is willing to continually try to help my 19-year-old daughter breathe! Most doctors have told my daughter this is her new normal and have given up. I wish more doctors had the same attitude as Dr. Maes!! She always gives us whatever time we need and explains everything so well! She is truly the best!!

Dr. Maes was very straight forward about what would and wouldn't work with treating my cough. Her staff follow up as needed with my care plan and she's always happy to help with refills when needed.

She was right to the point, has a plan for my care, and is striving to achieve my end goal of being able to breathe! Apparently not everyone loves this approach. None of the “stroke your ego” stuff that comes from most doctors. Her care was based off of research and not just some guess.

She comes in the room and lets us know that there were some decisions we needed to make. Very blunt and negative with no hope at all. No bed side manners whatsoever, my family started to weep and cry. No one deserves this type of negativity.

Incredibly negative. Openly walks in to the patient room and brags that not many people like her because she 'believes in telling it straight.' Told a family member that non of their medications were going to work and they might as well stop taking them because 'the end result is going to be the same'- meaning, they're going to die anyways so why bother? Incredibly upsetting to the family members that were told this. Anyways, that was 6 weeks ago, and they're still thriving so.... guess she was wrong.

What a wonderful doctor Dr. Maes is!! She always has my best interest at heart. I highly recommend her to anyone. She’s the best!!!

There is a very good reason that this person has only one star, too bad she can’t be graded below one star because she’s everything but a Doctor
