Dr. Dorothy Scarpinato, MD

I went to her for an IME, told her I was having problems, pointed to where I was having problems, and explained my problems to her at that appointment. My claim got denied based on that appointment and now years later I have chronic pain and issues in my back and neck in the same places that I told her at that appointment. I have been in pain for going on four years now. I try to ignore the pain, but sometimes I end up using my cane because every step I take hurts after a while.

I’ve been to Dr. Scarpinato three times for shoulder pain and this third time she basically threw my scan report on the desk, said I needed surgery but she doesn’t do that anymore, and told me she couldn’t give me my pain injection because she “is backed up” and “leaving for vacation.” My appt with her was useless. Why are doctors working when they have one hand on the door knob?

absolutely horrible; was seen by her for an IMEI(mind you so were 30 other people in the waiting room) for a No Fault case. Each person, including myself, was seen by her for about 5 mins or less so i do not believe a thorough enough exam was conducted to ensure the patients(including myself) diagnosis. Bedside manner was horrendous and it seemed very rushed.

Dr. Scarpinato is terrific. This is the second time I have seen her for a shoulder problem. The first time she assured me that it would be corrected with three months of physical therapy. She was absolutely correct. This time she quickly diagnosed my issue and discussed exercises to help the problem. Dr. Scarpinato is kind and compassionate. She listened patiently to all of my problems and concerns. She spends a lot of time with me on my examinations, patiently answering as many questions as I have. She is a wonderful person and physician.

During covid the office was overcrowded with the person behind the desk wearing a mask below his nose. The Dr did not wash hands and although able did not get covid vaccinations putting all patients at risk. The visit was perfunctory and bedside manner was unacceptable Avoid this office!

Dr. Scarpinato quickly diagnosed my ailment, prescribed medication and treatment. My recovery went exactly as she predicted and I was completely satisfied with both her attentiveness and the outcome. I highly recommend her services.

Perfect, clear concise and truthful about whether to have surgery or not. Saved me a lot of time and assured me I didn't need surgery unlike two of the other Orthopedic doctors I went to for an opinion. Thank you so much Dr. Scarpinato

Rude, Mean, Unhelpful, Abrupt. I was treated as if i was looking for drugs. Didn’t even ask for a pain killer. Never again.
