Medical gaslighting can leave scars
I should preface this by saying Dr. Ahn is not the first derm. to dismiss my concerns and requests for a fungal culture. Despite swirl patterns on my scalp, lower extremity edema, hyperpigmentation, difficulty concentrating and a detailed explanation of how this seemed to have started as really bad dandruff which has taken over my body, no cultures taken (however blood work orders were given, but not any indicative to test for yeast overgrowth). I was prescribed steroid cream and an anti depressant, supposedly I was unknowingly scratching myself. When my condition worsened, I spoke with his nurse who reiterated the diagnosis and dismissed my pleas for further testing. A large kerion had formed and calls were not returned from the ER line. I started seeing psych due to anxiety, depress. The Psychiatrist's previous years in family med. prompted her to physically examine me. Immediate diagnosis of systemic candidiasis which has invaded my sinuses, mouth, esophagus and skin.

I’ve struggled with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis for many years and went to a number of Dermatologists with poor to midland results. Dr Ahn not only took good care of the Psoriasis symptoms but also took great care of other dermatology problems that I have had for most of my life. I am more than satisfied with Dr Ahn

Dr. Ahn has been commendable in performance. The only bad point is the wait time for an appointment. I feel confident that he successfully dealt with the dermatology issues that I have, in a friendly yet professional way. His staff is caring and efficient.

I had a few issues and none of them were addressed was hoping to get a troublesome mole removed , he wouldn't do it. Prescribed a cream for me went to pick it up, it was $450.00 for a tube of cream, AFTER insurance. Gave me a coupon for cream, the wrong cream. Totally blew off my other serious issues. At one point said ,. 'ill be right back' never returned

Pretty scary. After a wait of one hour, for a 6 month check up, Dr. Ahn spent less than 5 minutes with me. I asked about a pink, scaly lesion on my cheek, similar to other actinic keratosis that I have been treated for. He looked briefly and called it a mole. It is definitely not a mole! He quickly rolled up my sleeves, looked at my arms and said, everything looks good. I had to ask him if he would look at my torso for any other spots. Otherwise, we would have been done.
