Our daughter
We started with him when our daughter was about 9. He didn’t scare us, but communicated the risks and realities. He was really good with encouragement. Our daughter was lean and athletic and truly embraced wearing the back brace and continued her activities. It worked for her and she ended up not needing the surgery. Proud of her and very glad we went to him.

As a pediatric patient he always treated me as a whole & not just my scoliosis. He was always aware of the affects my scoliosis and his treatment plan had on my pulmonary disease. He liked to have a Plan A & B & C. He talked with me even though I was a kid, so I was included & understood. He taught me the importance of having communication in your medical team by always keeping my other MDs updated, especially my primary. With a less attentive MD I might not have survived childhood.
