Great Eye Doctor
GREAT! in one word. He recently did my cataract surgery, which was amazing. No problems, explained everything in detail and the final results was everything as explained. I would highly recommend if you need professional eyecare.

The truth is Dr. Liva is not warm and fuzzy; however, he is a wonderful professional and technically very skilled. When I moved to Florida and an issue arose, I called Dr. Liva from Palm Coast. Not only did he take my call, but he took the time to get my folder and review it right then and there. He advised me about what I should do. He was spot on!!! ?? What is more important? I do agree his staff is NOT, especially one of the young women who works in the exam room. She is as cold as possible; she never smiles and doesn't greet the patients. When push comes to shove, I would not change doctors. Maybe the ice will melt some day.

Dr. Liva removed cataracts from both my eyes (two weeks apart), replacing them with a multifocal lens. The result is amazing -- 20/20 vision, no need for reading glasses, and everything is just brighter, colors in particular. Most important, the entire process, including the surgeries themselves, could not have gone better. I had no post-surgery issues, nothing more than a little blurriness the first 24 hours or so. I appreciated in particular Dr. Liva's in-depth discussion of the lens options.

Dr. Liva performed cataract surgery on my 98 year old mom. She had a very dense and hard cataract that classified her as legally blind (she loss her other eye to blotched cataract surgery 24 years ago so she was reluctant to have surgery on her remaining eye). Her vision continued to deteriorate to the point that she was willing to have this surgery since she had little to lose. Dr. Liva was the third specialist to see her and agreed with the other two that her condition was acceptable for the surgery and she should have improved vision. He performed the surgery two weeks ago and she had vision immediately which has improved every day. He stated this was one of his biggest challenges due to the density and hardness of the cataract, but he removed it and replaced the lens. Frankly, it was like a miracle that after all these years she now has vision again. He was very thorough in exams of her eyes and reassuring in his comments. I would definitely recommend him. Also, his staff was great

Dr. Liva is a skilled professional who performed my cataract surgery recently. The results were amazing. My eye now has 20/20 vision - much better than before the surgery. My experience very positive and was more than I could have asked for. He is superb at his profession and an exceptionally nice person. I highly recommend him. I also had a very good experience with his staff.

I am so disappointed in the total lack of respect Dr. Liva has for his patients. After a wait of over 60 minutes, his associate did most of the eye exam and then he comes rushing in, says nothing, performs one test and leaves. No pleasantries, no acknowledgement of the patient. I will never return. Rude!

Dr. Liva needs to talk to his front office staff. They treat his patients with disdain. My wife was a patient for over 30 yrs.and because of them we won't be going back.
