The surgeon's surgeon
When you hear from people high up in the hospital that Prevost is the guy other surgeons turn to if they've made a mistake, you know you've got the right doc. Also, I believe he's also the guy they turn to when they need surgery. So that's about all you need to know. While his administrative team isn't quite as good as he is, insist to talk to him if you have any problems with them. I found his scheduling lady to be both incompetent and rude. Don't let that chase you away. His surgery skills are some of the best in the state of Alaska, and he's the guy to go to if you need what he offers.I got my hip done and it went exactly like he said it would. Also, you can go onto the portal and check out his notes from the surgery. They are meticulous, and show the kind of thought, care, and skill he brings to the table.Highly, highly recommended.

Dr. Prevost and his team changed my life for the better. I was born with hip dysplasia and formed bone spurs (FAI) years later. After the birth of my child at 41 YO I could barely walk a block without extreme pain. I was super nervous and scared to have my hips replaced but felt I had found a good solution after much research. I had my right hip replaced (FAI and arthritis) with minimal pain-and following guidelines of PT, with so much success that I had my left one done 3 months after. I can now walk miles and inclines with no pain (with my 25# toddler on my back) and am so happy to be chasIng my toddler around pain free!! A big shout out to his team-especially Kayla who was always there to answer ALL my questions!! My surgeries were done at Providence Creekside surgery clinic. Everyone there was super professional and so helpful from check-in to departure. If you’re looking for the right surgeon and team, Dr. Prevost and his crew are an A+ in my book!

Top Notch Communicator
Dr. Prevost and his team were upbeat, professional, and always willing not only to answer every question without hurry, but to anticipate what further information would be helpful to me. He carefully let me know everything he was going to do and talked me through the events. What a gem he is!

beyond blessed
I highly recommend Dr.Prevost. He is a talented, confident surgeon and a kind, compassionate human being. A year and a half ago he removed a femoral rod and replaced my severely degenerative knee, successfully performing both of these procedures in the same operation. Not only is my once bowed leg straight, but I have the mobility, stability, strength and balance I had 15 years ago. I am beyond blessed to have found my way to Dr. Prevost and am grateful for all the years he has spent learning, training and working as an orthopedic surgeon to help others like myself regain their quality of life. I believe he has a true desire to help and heal. My gratitude also for his caring, energetic and professional team.

Highly recommend!
I've had both my hips replaced by Dr. Prevost, both within one year. My hips were bad enough that I could barely walk before surgery. Both my hip replacements have been quite successful, and I am back able to walk, ski, bike, hike, swim, lift weights, and pretty much do anything I want to do physially! Dr. Prevost is a great hip replacement doctor! (I was a bit disappointed that I had to wait several months to get on his surgical schedule, tho....)

I was very nervous to meet with an orthopedic surgeon. I wasn’t sure about my options. Dr Prevost and his PA Kate quickly put me at ease. He was very patient in explaining my options without pressuring me. The staff was welcoming and kind. I’m finally confident about my care team.

Frank E. Baker - Total knee replacements:
At this date, Oct. 7, 2022, I am 77-1/2 years old. I've been an avid hiker and mountain climber for more than 50 years, having logged about 300 vertical miles and thousands of linear miles.. I delayed knee replacements for at least 15 years through arthroscopic procedures, hyaluronic acid and cortisone injections. Dr. Prevost performed a TKR on my left knee in Feb. 2017. While it took at least 6-7 months to get me back into hiking, my outlook today is good -- with the knee 90 percent better than before the operation. The right TKR took a little longer, about nine months, to improve enough for me to resume my active hiking life style. Today it, and my other knee, are allowing me to resume outdoor activities that I love. From the operating room to recovery to followup appointments, Dr. Prevost has shown the highest level of technical expertise, professional demeanor and personal attention. I am deeply in Dr. Prevost's debt for getting me back into Alaska's rugged and beautiful mountains.

Referred to an amazing Doctor and staff.
In today's world, it is common for services to be falling below the standards we as Americans have grown to expect. From the remote communications to the surgery, I was treated by people who were incredible. The attention to detail and work ethic of entirety of those caring for me was great. I have never been through a medical procedure where all the ancillary people spoke so highly of a Doctor and it is deserved.

Excellent joint replacement experience
Dr. Prevost did both a complete hip and knee replacement for me. After almost a year of constant active use, they are both functioning better than I could have hoped for and no residual pain. Prior and post operations, Dr. Prevost listened to my concerns, gave me feedback in an understandable manner and diagnosed the problem quickly. I felt I was definitely part of the conversation. He and staff were friendly, respectful and patient. Getting prepped for surgery his calm, confident attitude dispelled my anxiety. I am so fortunate to have a neighbor recommend him. On follow up appointment Dr. Prevost continues to be involved in my well being and help direct me to assistance with back and nerve problems.

Excellent surgeon & excellent care
I had a total hip replacement with Dr. Prevost three months ago. He came highly recommended from friends in the medical community, and from friends who have been very active since their own surgeries. When I first met with him, he quickly diagnosed my pain as arthritis and offered both surgical and non-surgical options. His explanations were clear and balanced, and he provided a detailed account of what I could expect from the procedure. Since that time, I have appreciated his willingness to listen, his straightforward answers to my questions, and his kind and quiet manner. I had complete trust in him going into surgery and I have had a smooth recovery coming out. I am grateful to Dr. Prevost and his team for their excellent care.

Dr. Prevost listens to your concerns and problems
Dr. Prevost listened to my concerns and problems from the knee implant I received a year ago from a different Dr. He took the time to discuss the issues and plan of treatment. Most specialists seem rushed and hurried but not Dr. Prevost. He took the time and answered all my questions and follow up questions. I was very impressed with his manner and time he took with me.

Visited to evaluate and discuss need for hip replacement surgery. Picked Dr Prevost because he had performed 2 full knee replacement surgeries for me in 2015 with excellent results. Visit went smoothly; X-rays of the hips and failing joint were completed followed by a full explanation of the problems observed by Dr Prevost and possible surgical and non-surgical solutions, many of which I had already tried multiple times. As before, when I was exploring the issues with my knees, I felt confident in Dr Prevost’s analysis of my condition and his ability to correct the problem and decided to move forward with a surgical hip replacement.

Surgery Recommendation
Dr Prevost did a knee replacement on me 28 January. His two PAs, Zack and Brian, were off the charts great as was Katrina, one of his support office staff. The surgery went so well I was out of surgery surprisingly in less than 2 hours. Given knee improvement expectations continue upwards of a year, I am delighted with my "progress to date". Yes, there continue to be the expected vacillations of daily pain levels, but I am working through them. If you are planning orthopedic surgery, I have several suggestions. 1. I very highly recommend Dr Prevost and his team. 2. Get the needed bathroom and walking assist options (widely available). I found a recliner to be pretty much a "must have". 3. You will need help especially in the early post surgery days. 4. Finally, religiously go to your scheduled Physical Therapy and DO YOUR THE HOME EXERCISES YOUR PT GIVES YOU!!
