Dr. Scherr terrific diagnostician & physician
I was referred to Dr. Scherr by my private attending for an opinion on treatment options for my prostate cancer. Dr. Scherr took the time to explain my options and asked for more information that would help to make the appropriate decision. He is a kind, patient surgeon whom I would highly recommend.

Professional, understanding and thorough
Obtained appointment in just 4 days. Was in his operating room 4 days later. Deeply appreciate his sense of urgency for my care. Procedure went perfectly, follow up appointment soon. Coming from a different practice in a different state, this experience was night from day in terms of how pleased i was with everything. His staff is the best as well. No need to go anywhere else.

Unusual Case
I've had 3 surgeries with Dr. Scherr and it wasn't always the smoothest of relationships, as my case is not straight forward, but when I got to my wits end he came up with a surgical idea that changed everything for me. It came with its own set of side effects but it drastically improved the quality of my life and I am very grateful.

Wouldn't Go Anywhere Else!
I moved 4 hours away and started to have my followup appointments done at Johns Hopkins. What a mistake. I did not get the same care, with the same involvement and the same professionalism that I did from Dr. Scherr. Now I drive back to New York to get my care and I'm glad I did. I will be moving to Florida in the next year and I will still make the trip back north to receive my care. I know we all can't do this but if you can, it's worth it!
