Wonderful ER doctor
Went to GBMCs ER room and had the best doctor, Dr. Frankel, that you could ever ask for. He was caring and he made me feel at ease. I think Dr. Frankel is a fabulous physician, which I never thought could be found in an ER. I wish he was in private practice because I would go to him and highly recommend him.

Untrusted. Uncaring.
The doctors refusal to even come by my room and answer questions was disgusting. Doesn’t show an ounce of compassion to scared patients, leaving them feeling abandoned and hopeless. The worst doctor I have ever met. Sent me home without even examining. If I could call his boss and have him fired I would.

I came with swelling next to my eye. I didn't know what it was and was afraid that it was temporal arteritis which can lead to permanent vision loss. I very much regret coming there. After a couple of blood tests, Dr. Frankel said that it wasn't temporal arteritis but he didn't know what it was so he can't give me any treatment or advice. I was dismissed with ibuprofen. I was billed $1400 for 2 blood tests and no diagnosis or treatment because Dr. Frankel chose to bill my case as a high-severity visit, which is reserved for severe cases involving complex medical decisions. He dismissed me without any advice because he didn't know what it was but used billing code 99284 as if he was saving my life. GBMC billed me for low, moderate, and high-severity visits separately, all for the same visit. The billing dept was not interested in fixing any errors. I spent months trying to get my case coded correctly but I got nowhere and had to pay $1400 out of pocket.

Stay away from this ER dr
Sent me home from the ER with no treatment. Had to return the next day with severe infection which could have been avoided had he treated it when I first came in.
