I’ve seen Dr. Oostra 3 times in the past few years…I had dvt in my leg, which went to lungs. My first visit was great. Not only did he listen, but drew me pictures so I could understand what could happen, along with treatment options. He doesn’t rush, nor is he glued to his computer during my appointment. Another non typical trait for today’s doctors…he responds to direct email….even if it’s weeks since last visit. I not too much of a fan of doctors, …but I AM a fan of his and fully recommend he and his staff.

AS A PATIENT WHO HAS ENDURED ALOT AND REQUIRED ALOT OF ATTENTION AND NEED, HE HAS ALWAYS PUT MY TIME AND NEEDS AT A PRIORITY. i was referred to Dr Oostra by my hematologist at HOA. I have always said HOA is top of the line so I knew Dr Ostra would be too. I was right! He is very kind, doesn’t rush, and called me back with my lab results right away. Answering my questions, and very patient. He is definitely top of the line and if I need him for hematology/ oncology in the future, I’m glad that I already have found him.
