Exceptional!
I've been a patient of Dr. Fitch's for years, and can't say enough about his knowledge and compassion. He has gone above and beyond to find answers for me concerning my complex conditions, and works tirelessly to come up with treatments that work. He truly cares about his patients and only wants what's best for them. He's fought to keep me out of surgery, and rushed me in for procedures the next morning to get ahead of an emergency. He's the best!

I have dealt with Doctor Fitch for years and my family too. He has been nothing but awesome. You know, some doctors go into practice but it’s not their calling. Dr. Fitch was blessed in this calling. His hands are blessed. He’s very caring and passionate and soft spoken. He has a job to do and gives each patient time to ask questions. I don’t trust anyone but him putting scopes down me. He is a GREAT DOCTOR. I call him blessed.

He has no compassion or concern for his elderly patients. My elderly parents had an appointment on the day a tropical storm was due to hit. My Mom called the day before to ask about rescheduling and letting them know that they would try to come but if the storm was happening they wouldnt be able to make it . They both need assistance to walk and Mom was just getting over Pneumonia, They refused to waive the $75 fee for not keeping an appointment!!

Dr. Fitch has absolutely no compassion for his patients or their family. He misdiagnosed my father with gluten intolerance. My father wanted a second opinion from another Dr. paid to have records released and Fitch refused to release his records until I contacted the North Carolina Board of Medicine. Amazingly they were sent over to the new Dr the next day. My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died about 6 months after dealing with this quack. Stay AWAY from him!!

He and his staff were very nice and professional. Dr. Fitch has 30 plus years of experience. Well trained at the University of Michigan, as well as UNC Chapel Hill. Upon discharge, after my procedure, I received detailed instructions as what type of diet I should be on for my GI issues. Staff was very kind.

Unsurpassed in professionalism and in knowledge of his area of specialty. Precise and deliberate in his diagnosis', Dr. Fitch was able to pinpoint the underlying condition causing my chronic and debilitating symptoms and begin treating the issue. I had been to 4 other gastro docs prior to seeing Dr. Fitch, and none of them were able to diagnosis and/or treat my condition.

Provides the utmost professional care for my entire family. He was my Grandmother's specialist for 30+ years, until she passed away. I began seeing him in the early 1990's, and continue to see him, as does my mother. I would not see anyone else. Always upfront, honest & shows a genuine concern for our entire family. The office staff isn't as friendly & concerned as his original staff when he came to Wilson. I do not care for or trust his assistant, however I do trust Dr. Fitch's judgement.
