I'm forever grateful to have found Dr. Duncan C. Watley, an extraordinary Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeon who performed my surgery at Saint Patrick's Hospital. His professionalism, compassion, and expertise have left an indelible mark on my life.After a traumatic experience with a previous doctor, which left me with severe PTSD, I was apprehensive about undergoing surgery. After almost three decades of nearly constant congestion, sneezing, sleeping upright, and spending thousands of dollars on medications and medical appointments, I finally had the great good fortune to become one of Dr. Watley patients at Rocky Mountain ENT in Missoula, Montana. He has been a Godsend to me.During my initial evaluation, he quickly and expertly diagnosed my issue and presented me with a treatment plan, clearly and confidently. I was a bit taken aback. I had consulted with many other providers over the years. Though I am sure they were all well intended, none of their evaluations and or treatments produced even marginally effective results. Dr. Watley was very attentive to my condition and my previous issues. After an initial meeting / discussion, a scope exam in the office and a CT scan, Dr. Watley recommended surgery. Dr. Watley preformed a septoplasty and turbinate reduction, among other general clean up and repair from a previous surgery, twenty five years earlier. Prior to the surgery I was experiencing at least one sinus infection a year, sinus related illness several times a year and I could not sleep through the night for sinus congestion. In the year since the surgery I have experienced none of these conditions. It had been twenty plus years since I was able to breathe through my nose without sinus congestion of some type, 24/7/365. The surgery that Dr. Watley performed, his follow-up care and recommendations over the past year have been life changing for me. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Watley's knowledge, skills and abilities. I would highly recommend Dr. Watley to anyone experiencing sinus issues.

I went to see him based on his experience treating my condition. He was completely dismissive, wouldn't even give me time to explain my symptoms. Never did any tests or even an exam. Referred me to see a different doctor, that never contacted me. I'm guessing if you have Medicare, he's not interested.

A CT scan showed that she had a fungal cyst next to her optic nerve on her right eye that was causing pressure on the optic nerve. She was referred to Dr Watley as no one in Helena, Mt. was able to do the surgery. Dr Watley called and talked to my mom about destroying a small bone in her cheek to remove the abscess and it had to be done soon. That was right before Christmas 2022. So, Christmas night we drove over to Missoula and the next morning she was in surgery. We did not expect what my mom would look like after surgery but could hardly tell that extensive of a surgery was done. My mom within a couple of hours was able to see clearly in her eye. Thank You Dr. Watley for being in Montana as we were wondering how to take care of this. Dr. Watley is very kind and talented and a gifted surgeon and is very compassionate and explains all procedures in very detailed and accurate. He gave us confidence from just meeting and talking to him that morning of the procedure and after care.

So thankful to have Dr. Watley in Montana! Prior to him joining Rocky Mountain ENT, there was not a surgeon in Montana who could perform an endoscopic DCR surgery.
