Oh my goodness ! Where do I begin? At 36 years old with likely hereditary cataracts rendering me suddenly blind, with one especially complex mature cataract, four weeks of my life became total chaos. Endless doctors and appointments involving unsympathetic listeners who seemed not to care what I was presenting to them. Long story short, don’t go to a large eye clinic that sounds like “rue” Aka KU. BUT DO RACE TO HUNKELER! I was so incredibly surprised and happy beyond belief after multiple negative events to find everyone at Hunkeler —literally every employee — being kind and thoughtful and honestly treating me like family or a close friend. Having worked in health care on the finance side and seeing every angle, Hunkeler Eye Institute goes far above and beyond and gave me my life back. That’s no hyperbole; it’s what happened from March 2nd to March 11th, 2020. Billing, scheduling, the doctors, it’s all run like performance art here. Don’t let anyone else touch your eyes! ?? About Me

care philosophy

I enjoy being an ophthalmologic surgeon because it gives me the ability to do intricate procedures and truly impact people beneficially on a daily basis. My goal is to educate my patients and be their advocate.

biography

I have four kids, so they are a big part of my free time. I swam in college, and I continue to exercise with bicycling and running. I love being in the KC area for the KC Chiefs and Royals.
