Dr. Dwayne Schmidt, MD

I hv bn going to Dr. Schmidt for years and my health hs improved and l hv learned so much frm him. He hs prolonged my life and my boyfriend’s life. I am so glad he switched frm his other cardiologist. If he hadn’t he could hv died. He is so knowledgeable and he shares his knowledge with us so we can improve our health. He is personable and very kind. Great staff. They work with you. Thank you so much Dr. Schmidt!

Saw Dr. Dwayne Schmidt for a second opinion. He and staff were fantastic and explained everything clearly. FYI: previous cardiologist had recommended invasive procedure, didn't seem correct to me, saw Dr. Schmidt for a second opinion. Bottom line: I didn't need the invasive procedure. Went through all my test results with me, explaining things clearly. Staff also very helpful and responsive. I am so thankful I saw him, and got the second opinion!

From the nursing staff to the doctor, I couldn’t have asked for better care. All the details from scheduling around my work, to having an IV in my foot, to interactions before and after the procedure, to sedation which has always made me sick( and it didn’t here) were handled with kindness, compassion and great medical insight! So grateful to have found this practice.

I ran into Dr Schmidt by accident and started asking a bunch of questions about reversing heart disease based on books I had read. Dr Schmidt had read one of them and recommended I come in for a visit. Schmidt did some tests, made big changes to diet and now I'm definitely feeling better. I fired my previous cardiologist.

Dr Schmidt has been my cardiologist for many years. He has always been very kind and through with my cardiac health conditions. I highly recommend him to everyone who has any kind of cardiac problems. His staff is always very helpful and makes you feel welcome.

Friendly, personable and thoroughly professional. When I had a severe blockage in one artery, Dr. Schmidt explained the situation and told us we had the option of a stent or bypass surgery. He was confident he could install the stent so that was our choice. Less than six hours after entering the clinic, I left with a new stent. In five days I was doing most of my normal activities. We traveled 1,000 miles to be treated by Dr. Schmidt and it was time well spent. Staff/facilities are top notch.

I had my third heart attack in 2011. The third being the widow maker. Dr. Schmidt and his team have never made me silly for any questions asked. I highly recommend him, that's why when my mother wasn't getting proper care I didn't hesitate to get her to him

Since having a stroke at age 45 (over 11 years ago), I have seen a handful of cardiologists, and I can say without hesitation or qualification, that I have never received better care than I did at the Cardiovascular Health Clinic in OKC. Dr. Dwayne Schmidt and the staff are amazing and I am so thankful to have been under their care! Should you or anyone you know ever need a cardiologist in the OKC area, Dr. Schmidt and the Cardiovascular Health Clinic have earned my highest recommendation!

Up until today (8/15/16), I would have happily recommended Dr. Schmidt. But today I had an odd phone call (a "robo" call, sounded like) reminding me of an appointment I DID NOT KNOW I HAD on 8/17/16. The message told the time [10:15] but did not explain where the appointment is. Since Dr. Schmidt has examined me in Edmond and Weatherford (and I know there has been a change in Dr. Schmidt's locations), I have no idea where I'm supposed to go. And no chance to ask questions.
