So arrogant. Inflated sense of self. God like?
What a waste of time with him. He is and will be, for sure, the last “shrink” I will ever see. He had zero ability to understand where I was coming from. He labeled me Bi-polar. Threw me some meds. Never any significant feedback the entire time I saw him - a year and a couple months. I don’t know if he is the head of that department, he probably just acted that way. I have PTSD. But since I’m not a vet maybe I didn’t qualify for that diagnosis with him. What will ALWAYS stand out to me was him asking me if I’d ever had any thoughts of suicide - several visits after beginning sessions w him. I was stumped momentarily, like, is this a trick question? I’m thinking - who hasn’t thought about suicide in one manner or another, whether it be someone they knew who followed through, or suicidal ideation? I answered “I believe everyone has thought about it in one way or another.” He came back with, “None of my friends have!” So, dinner party, vote taken? How’d he come up with that?
