Dr. Earl Roberts Jr, MD

A few weeks ago our two-year old had been vomiting all day and couldn’t keep anything down so we took the first appt with Dr. Roberts. Despite her obvious distress, he instructed us to hold her body down on the table with her arms pinned above her head just so he could check her ears and throat. When she screamed and thrashed, he yelled at us to “hold her down, she’s only a two-year old”. He told us to keep her straight as a board and roll her over onto her belly, just so he could check her buttocks under diaper. All of this could have been done while we held her. She is distressed by doctor appointments and has seen three other doctors (two at this practice, plus her previous pediatrician) as well as the nurses and doctor at the hospital that day and none needed to resort to such traumatic and invasive techniques for a basic exam. He also took 30 minutes of notes and still gave the hospital the wrong information and sent us looking for the “pediatric entrance” which doesn’t exist.

My 4 year old has been with Dr. Roberts group since she was born. Dr Roberts has outstanding. He has a great bedside manner & has calm approach with our daughter. Just as important, Dr Roberts has been right on with my daughter, who showed signs of asthma in her 1st year of life. He has always been proactive & effective. What I found especially helpful was the education & tips/suggestions he has provided up during her growth. When we applied his suggestions, it was effective. Highly recommend!
