Dr. Edgardo Concepcion, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr. Concepcion for 20 plus years, he’s absolutely amazing! I could not have found a better Dr. in the industry, I feel very blessed. Dr. C, Dr. Concepcion, has done wonders for my life. I was diagnosed at 21 years old with MDD, Major Depression Disorder, he’s very knowledgeable in his profession. He’s very patient with me & not once have I had any problems with my medication. After years of being on the same medication I felt it was no longer working, I was becoming depressed. Dr. C. without question, changed my medication a little at a time. He’s honest with me, whether I like it or not, he’s straight forward. There’s nothing negative I could ever say about him. He’s a genuine man.

I seen him one time years ago and as soon as I walked in his office he asked me if I was on steroids. He is bossy and doesn't spend much time with you.

I have been seeing Dr Concepcion for over a decade. I am 64 yrs old with Bipolar Disorder with Psychosis. I’ve probably seen more than half of the psychiatrist in Lafayette because I was probably Bipolar from birth. For sure neglected and harmed as a child. He has never given up on me. Dr. Concepcion listens when I talk sometimes 100 miles an hour and on some days he listens through my tears. He is patient in so many ways. I was in treatment and my youngest son was leaving for the Service, Dr C without hesitation but with compassion and understanding let me see my son off to boot camp. No other doctor would have been that gracious. He is so knowledgeable in his field and he isn’t afraid to tell you when you may be wrong at something. He is eager to make a difference in my life the best way he can the rest is up to me. I can truly say when I’m down only and feeling like ending it all I think of him and how disappointed and hurt he would be. Awesome Sir!

I do telephone visits now but he always takes the time to see if any thing has changed and if there any thing that I need or don't need.
