Dr. Edit Tolnai, MD

I was never seen by Dr Edit Tolnai but communications with her office was not a pleasant experience. I was referred to Dr Edit Tolnai by my PCP because I was having a prolonged aPTT. My PCP sent over my records and labs, I received a call from Dr Edit’s office saying that she review my records and that she does not take cases like mine and that it could be managed by the PCP. How can this be when the PCP referred me to a hematologist? Good thing I went with my gut and finally saw a hematologist that listened to me first. Turns out I’m a hemophilia symptomatic carrier and because of my bloodwork done by the hematologist, I’m being referred to University of Miami’s hematology center for further testing. This office only looked at records and labs, yes they provide vital information, but sometimes further testing and discussion with the patient about past experiences are more helpful than just notes. Listen to the patient!

Dr. Tolnai is extremely knowledgeable and up-to-date in her fields. She is always concerned that I'm having the best treatment, esp. when circumstances cause change.

Office Staff not helpful when questioned regarding future appointments and Dr Tolnai's assistant/helper (Barbara) cannot or will not come to front desk area to have conversations.

Dr. Tolnai listens and synthesizes the information received to give total patient care. I am still working and thriving due to her careful care.

dr tolnia is a great doctor, she treats you like a family member. I have had cancer twice and because of her i am still alive. her staff is outstanding and waiting time is minimal. hope she never retires. I have been to 2 other doctors in her field but was not happy.

I have been treated with Dr. Tolnai for 5yrs now, I will be with her for life. She is caring, patient, knowledgeable and thorough. Her staff is amazing, Venise is efficient and a rock star. Pam is also efficient and knows her stuff. I recommend Dr. Tolnai to anyone who will ask and even those that don't. She's my Shero!

My experience with Dr Tolnai was nothing short of wonderful! She is patient, compassionate, informative and inspirational. To be diagnosed with cancer and not be terrified is a tribute to Dr Tolnai.

No one in that office can take being questioned - Tolnai actually told me once she HATES when patients use the internet to learn more about their condition and/or medication. They want people to just come in and do what they tell you with no questions asked. If that's how you want your health/life to be handled - go see her - if not find a good doctor with a professional attitude and professional staff - two things that are sorely lacking in this office.
