Horrible experience
When I first started going to see Dr Chung I thought he was great. His practice is a shambles now. The front desk is terrible. No one returns calls promptly. You’re put into one voicemail after another. When I had a severe episode recently I could not get an appointment in a timely manner. I was told the pa was working in the hospital for the week. There was no effort to have another pa or Dr Chung get back to me. I literally was crying before I got to talk to someone. When I finally got to see the pa I was the one to bring up the med that could help because I had no choice but to start googling how my condition could be treated. I had no confidence in him after that. And the worst kicker of all is they didn’t get back to me until 5 months after my colonoscopy to go over results. By that time I had already switched doctors and thank god I did. My new practice is wonderful. They return calls promptly. And the doctor has called me directly himself. I wish I switched earlier.

I had tests done and no one followed up for 5, yes 5 months. They even omitted a test. I asked for Dr Chung to call me, and he never did. They forgot that I had an appointment and had to re schedule. Needless to say, I changed Doctors

Polyps removed-chased Dr. Chung for cancer results
Dr. Chung performed a colonoscopy which included the removal of multiple colonic polyps. I was told it'd take 6 days to verify if the polyps were cancerous. After 13 days of not receiving a call I called the office to verify if my results were in. They had arrived and, thankfully, a kind woman insinuated the results were pre-cancerous telling me I'd receive a call soon. 2 additional full weeks have passed and I just called again and was told Dr. Chung had been on vacation and was behind in following up with patients - which doesn't make sense and likely isn't truthful. Vacation or not, I was forgotten and I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have received a call. A patient waiting on a "yes you have cancer" or "no you don't have cancer" call shouldn't have to chase their doctor and be ignored, twice. Dr. Chung's patients deserve better. I did have an outstanding experience with the office staff and received a kind follow-up call from the staff after the procedure asking about my recovery.

Good Doctor with office problems
I like Dr. Chung very much but he has major problems with their office getting pre authorization on prescriptions. Today is day 18 of waiting even though the pharmacy and I have spoken to them on different dates and times. This is the second time I’ve had this problem and last time had to pay out of pocket because I couldn’t wait any longer. So the low rating is not for the doctor but for the hassle.

Incredibly unprofessional staff and coworkers, was given a misdiagnosis (as confirmed by other competent doctors) and when I approached the staff regarding the issue they banned me from seeing anyone in their group (of which being Dr. Chung). I was offered by the receptionist to speak with a manager, which I then replied yes I would before they abruptly hung up on me mid-sentence. I was referred to Dr. Chung over a week ago and the front staff lied about having my paperwork before eventually telling me that they wish to not see me or help me with my stomach disorder. If it was possible to give you a zero star rating I would gladly do so as your staff and coworkers lack of professionalism and integrity is appalling.
