Dr. Edmund Liu, MD

I went in for an infected ear piercing and I will never go back. Dr. Liu was condensing, he did not listen, and rushed through my appointment. I explained my nervousness upon my arrival and I asked him if I had to remove my piercing or if it was possible to keep it. He responded by laughing saying “not to be stupid but you don’t get a dog, if you’re allergic.” Later in the appointment I requested to call a loved one to discuss my options for my piercing removal and he stated “No. I think you have to make this decision for yourself.” Then he proceeded to pressure me for an answer. Needless to say, I did not get my piercing removed that day and it healed on its own. I’m so glad I didn’t go through with getting it painfully removed by him.

Dr. Liu is a fine physician but his office manager is horrible. After receiving a bill and paying it in full before the end of the month it was received, the office sent another bill that on the OUTSIDE next to the address said it was FINAL NOTICE and that it would be sent to collection if not paid by the end of the month.

Never had any issues with the doctor but the office manager is horrible and needs to be replaced asap!

I had been seeing another ENT for 6 years regarding recurrent nose bleeds. I saw Dr Liu once, he scheduled and completed the recommended procedure and I have been free of nosebleeds for 6 months so far, including thru the winter months which are usually the worst. I highly recommend him!

I have entrusted my entire family to Dr Liu for over a decade. He is thoughtful, compassionate and very careful in his diagnosis and selection of treatment. He’s always explained everything clearly to us, and is wonderful at narrating any procedures being done, while carefully managing your expectation of discomfort and all the while narrating a way to minimize it. I have highly recommended him many times and have complete trust in and respect for his ample knowledge and skills.

When I told Dr. Liu my medical history, he laughed -- laughed! -- and said it wasn't correct. (It was.) He talked way too fast, making it difficult to hear or understand his medical advice. Adding injury to insult, he charged $500 for this simple appointment by mislabeling it as a "surgery." He is a bad doctor and a con man. Stay away.

I had breathing problems and dr. Liu recommended the surgery. I thought it would also be a good idea to make some minor adjustments in the shape of my nose at the same time. Dr. Liu is also board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon. I thought I was sure I was putting myself in good hands. The surgery turned out to be a disaster. The functional problem was resolved, but he left a serious dent in my nose after the surgery. The shape of my nose is far from what I expected.

Dismissive of my complaints. Misdiagnosed me according to subsequent clinician. Subjected me to painful, unnecessary, expensive test. Unprofessional demeanor. Would not recommend to anyone.

Dr. who returns your call. Dr who explains your condition and answers your questions. Dr who gives you alternative treatments. Friendly, compassionate, and intelligent. This is Dr Liu.

Completely miss diagnosed problem. Gave me a steroid cream for what was eventually diagnosed by other doctor as TMJ. Charged me 2 co-pays for 2 visits and was totally off the mark. Didn't seem like he wanted to spend time and get it right.
