Zero star
Barely looked up from computer, never touched me - didn’t listen to lungs, heart, take pulse, ordered full CBC, I got test results from Labcorp a day later- received letter in the mail from Dr Mendez’s office// UT Medical (FIVE) 5 weeks advising me to get a another blood test, then 5 weeks later another letter referring me to a specialist. So 10 weeks (two and a half months ) lingering with a potential medical issue.

Despite my major weight loss (65 pounds), Dr. Mendez did not encourage me in my efforts. In fact, he appeared not even seem to notice. Maybe he should look up from his laptop once in a while.

During my appointment with Dr. Mendez, his nurse told me that "the end times are coming." What an inappropriate remark. Dr. Mendez himself spends the entire appointment staring at his computer screen, making me feel like a persona non grata. And the lab people out in the hall are just plain rude.

Dr. Mendez was my late husband's primary care doctor. After witnessing the care my husband received, I would not ever recommend this doctor. I believe that he was negligent in not taking seriously an issue that my husband reported to him days before the seizures that resulted in his death. After my husband was hospitalized and after his death I had several times asked for some concern and then help. I/we received neither.

Well rounded Physician, refreshingly candid and not afraid to refer when addressing medical issues not of his expertise. Reminds me of family doctors from days long past.
