Too many balls dropped
My first visit with Dr. Vides left me feeling fairly positive about my experience. Unfortunately this last visit took a different turn, a complete 180. He was an hour and 20 minutes late to my appointment which, in turn, resulted in my time with him being rushed. Questions did not get answered, I do not feel like he listened, and he quickly referred me to a specialist for one of the primary concerns for my visit without spending time doing a thorough examination or explaining possible reasons for my pain. What a disappointment after waiting so long for this appointment. He also did not call in a prescription that we discussed at my visit and has not responded to my two reminder requests [spanning over a week] since. Perhaps he has some personal things going on, but my expectation for a practicing doctor is to do better. I am now looking for a new PCP.

I'm well cared for!
My son and his family have seen Dr. Vides for several years so when I moved to Oregon and needed a new doctor I decided to try him. I'm 68 yrs old and he has improved my life so much! Those who left bad reviews, I can only say that you most likely didn't like what he suggested and didn't follow his advice. I'm healthier and happier than I've been in years!

Breath of fresh air!
Dr. Vides made me realize what poor of care I was receiving before. The questions he asked made it evident that he actually read through my medical history and was listening to me. He took his time to answer my questions and to make sure that I understood his answers. He put me in touch with people to address my ongoing mental health issues, whereas my prior PCP stopped helping me after the prescribed medication didn’t work. His office visit summaries are so thorough, and he does such a good job at explaining EVERYTHING. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience; he’s given me hope for my health!

If you were to compare my lifestyle to that of Dr. Vides you would probably see a stark difference. I'm an active whole foods plant based vegan who has a BMI of 20.6. Vides is overweight. Normally, I wouldn't be the person to call this out. However, Vides tried to blame my chronic pain & migraines on lifestyle rather than what other healthcare providers have flagged as EDS. When I tried to explain the fact that craving salty foods to me was a sign that something was off physiologically as that was not my normal cravings he went off on how he couldn't believe someone with migraines would eat chips or chocolate. There's a difference between craving & eating and I would wager he eats much more chocolate and chips than I do. When I tried to be assertive he called me angry. He assumed he knew my overall lifestyle without asking. I needed a letter for work. It took me an hour to track it down from him and was not what we discussed. I give him a point for ordering tests I asked for.

I have been forced to become a patient of Dr Vides as my doc is on an extended maternity leave. His care has left me in excruciating pain and with no answers or help. I have begged him to help me with either imaging of my back to determine root cause of back pain continuing following a horrible car accident or to help me alleviate my pain with pain medications, narcotic or non narcotic, lidocaine patches, etc. All his nurse will repeatedly tell me on the phone is He will do nothing more to help
