Exceptional
I’m glad I didn’t read all these negative reviews. My visit was exceptional. The doctor & his staff were friendly & helpful. Watching how painful it was for me to hold a pen, one of them actually filled the forms out for me . For months I’ve been experiencing excruciating pain. Getting shots in my neck, back, hips, shoulders & knees. Nothing was working. My hands started acting up. They were very weak & painful. I couldn’t even hold a pen, it was too “heavy”. With the advice from another doctor I made an appointment. It’s only been a few days but for the first time in a long time, I’m NOT in pain! I just can’t thank you enough Dr. A!

Rude office staff, uncaring dr
After being his patient for almost 15 years, with no reason or clear excuse he dropped my mother as a patient via a letter. She had crippling rheumatoid arthritis and was bedbound but made the pain staking journey of bundling up and getting in the car and to her appointment every month. She paid her bill and never canceled an appointment. There were maybe 3 doctors listed on the letter listed and none of the phone numbers were connected. He also had extremely long wait times and the staff was rude. He spent no more than 20 seconds with my mother and was always annoyed if she had questions.

This doctor likes to keep you coming back FOREVER if needed or not. And in my case, I was 100% totally misdiagnosed!!! Originally went there with a painful swollen joint. He took one look at it and 30 seconds feeling my shoulders, wrists, neck, etc. and decided I had arthritis. The guy prescribed these super expensive injections that I need to administer myself which lower the immune system. After a short while, the swollen painful joint was normal and I felt great. The only issue I had was the one painful joint, the rest of me was fine. But Allegra had me coming back and back and back along with habitual blood tests and continuing to take these injections. About a year later I decided to see an orthopedist. I had originally taken pictures of the swollen joint and showed it to him. Immediately he said it appeared to be gout and NOT arthritis. He decided to order x-rays of the joint which now felt normal along with images of other parts of my body. No Arthritis!

My first time calling Dr. Allegra's office the receptionist asked me if I had been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis before and I said no, my primary care physician had just done so. She instructed me to have my blood work results faxed to their office so the doctor could review, then they would call me back. After two days of no call, a different receptionist stated she had no paperwork from my doctor and that they'd never heard of me. I called my primary and they clearly stated they had faxed my results to Allegra's office, but would be happy to do so again. Two more days and still no phone call, and again when I called, Allegra's office insisted they hadn't received my blood work results. A third request to primary's office and finally Allegra's staff member called me to say there was nothing wrong with me and they couldn't help me. CCP # 250, (0-19 normal) and Rheumatoid Factor 71.6 (0.0-13.9 normal) seems high to me. These people are incompetent! Don't bother calling!

I was dropped suddenly via form letter with no explanation ,it’s called abandonment. I had been a patient for five years never missed an appointment and the bill was always paid on time . Never had a discussion that was not professional and curtious with Dr or staff . The abondonment left my on a treatment plan with no Dr on a medication that cannot be stopped abruptly and a letter from Dr full of referrals that had disconnected office phone . He not worth the time, money and cost to your heal

Horrible experience . He cancelled my appointment that I had for six weeks , two days before I was supposed to see him for the first time . Excuse was he wouldn't see me because he he DROPPED my husband as a patient because he cancelled three appointments within a year. My husband was a patient for more than TEN years !! He also wouldn't refill his prescription and he ran out if his medication before we could see the new dr we made an appointment with . UNACCEPTABLE . UNPROFESSIONAL .

Excellent physician. I was in pain for several years and he took the time to find out what was wrong and treated me conservatively with excellent results. He explains everything very well and takes time with the patient. I am very grateful for his care.

This doctor never listens, is in and out of the exam room in 5 minutes or less and never, ever returns phone calls. Not compassionate at all.
