Dr Bodmer came to our rescue after our regular podiatrist cancelled our appointment last.mknute. He made a point to stay late to fit us in the next day during a holiday week. He was personable and explained things to us we never heard from our PREVIOUS podiatrist. He also made a care plan to keep us in the right track to care for our feet. Thank you both, Dr Bodmer and Gail!

Dr. Bodmer is a knowledgeable podiatrist. I found his bedside manner to be characterized by mixed messages, e.g., uses friendly greetings, asks for patient input, then doesn't listen much to patient when patient brings up medical matters relevant to podiatry that don't fit neatly into his repertoire of experience. Although I think he means well, he is patronizing at times. When I first saw him, I began asking questions related to my podiatry-related concerns. He told me we had to finish up quickly because he had to leave. When I repeated questions, he sighed, acquiesced to appear to consider my questions and then told me that he didn't know about the foot-related things I was bringing up. In other geographic areas, I've seen podiatrists w/ far better beside manners. If it's important to you as a patient to be able to have a dialogue related to your podiatry concerns including 2-way Q & A and discussion with your provider, I encourage you to consider other providers.

My wife is a brittle diabetic & started having issues with her feet. Skin peeling off in chunks. She went to urgent care, a recommended podiatrist, and even a dermatologist. Basically everyone seemed afraid to touch her feet. It was to the point she could hardly walk. We finally called several other podiatrist, leaving msg's at each one to call back. Dr. Bodmer's office was the only one to call back. My wife's first visit with the doc was just what she needed, some one who wasn't afraid to touch her feet, diagnose the issue the first time, explain to her in layman's terms what was going on and what to do to fix it, but most importantly make my wife feel comfortable knowing that she had someone that understood the issue & that it could be fixed & not what we call a "shot in the dark" to try to fix it. Today her feet have almost completely cleared up and she is able to walk with no pain. We want to thank you Dr. Bodmer for all you have done for her! You have our recommendation!

Dr. Bodmer is a very nice man. He needs to update his wound care. Wounds need to dry out to heal. Weeks of ointment just delay healing. He encouraged me to fill a Keflex antibiotic prescription just in case. When I told him it wasn't needed he said, It's good to have around. If you get a little scratchy throat, just take a few. WHAT?!?! There is no excuse for that kind of ignorance.

Dr Bodmer examined my foot, explained my problem thoroughly so that I understood. He scheduled the required surgery right away. The surgery went very well, Dr Bodmer called me at home to see how I was doing. He has examined my foot each week to make sure that it is healing properly . I would highly recommend him for any foot problem, in fact I have recommended him to my friends.

I believe the best way for a doctor to have a good doctor-patient relationship, is to be honest in his/her care and treatment with the patient. I treat patients the same way I would treat any of my family members! This philosophy has worked well for me for over 30 years in practice.
