Dr. Edward Mezic, MD

I was suffering with bronchitis. Dr Mezic walked into the room. He asked why I was there, as he looked down at papers. He never looked at me or spoke with me. He listened to my symptoms ( barely) and then to my lungs. He said nothing. I had to ask what he heard. He went on to tell me what meds he’d give me. He told me to come back in two MONTHS!!! He was cold. He didn’t care that I was sick and scared. I read the diagnosis, later, which read: “Asthmatic bronchitis” ! He never told me I had asthma! He never told me anything. If he did, he said it looking down at papers, mumbling. I needed to contact the office with a bad side effect from the antibiotic. When I called the number, it would ring and then there’d be a hang up. It happened over and over! What kind of doctor won’t answer the phone? I’ll be looking for a pulmonologist who cares about their patients.

Dr. Mezic was sarcastic and spent virtually the entire video visit looking at something down and to his right, I don't think he made eye contact with me even a single time. Worse yet, when I called the office to schedule a follow-up as he had advised and asked to schedule with a different provider, they flatly refused and essentially told me to go elsewhere. As a physician myself, I think his medical decision-making was sound, but the overall experience was very unpleasant.
