Dr. Edward Shuherk, MD

Have been going to him for about 9 years. Has referred me for bariatric surgery postpartum though I was only obese because of the pregnancy. No longer overweight and no surgery. Has withheld my prescriptions because I was late on an annual Pap smear even though those are not annual anymore. Randomly thought I was breastfeeding 6 years after my last child was born and commented on it when refilling my prescriptions. Was rude and condescending to me when I was struggling with my medication dosage. Constantly suggested an antipsychotic medication be added to my RX list because I was experiencing emotional regulation issues, I was later diagnosed with autism by a specialist. Did not want to test my hormone levels to see if that was the cause of the emotional dysregulation, only offered the antipsychotic. Mistakenly described my mood swings as some sort of symptom of bipolar disorder.

Dr. Shuherk is a very thoughtful, careful diagnostic physician. He takes the time to understand the patient and their concerns. He's also great about ensuring that medication doesn't conflict with each other. I speak highly of him to friends and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Dr. Shuherk was very pleasant; He took copious notes during the physical. He asked pertinent questions and everything went along in an orderly manner without seeming to be hurried. He made observations and recommended specialists when it seemed appropriated.

Dr Shuherk is one of a rare breed of doctor who is kind to the core, and highly intelligent. In an era when it’s hard to find a decent primary care doctor, I think anyone wanting compassionate care from a skilled practitioner would be grateful to have Ed as your doctor. He is a rare breed.

Dr. Edward Shuherk has been the Most Amazing doctor I've ever been to. I suffer from severe PTSD and I NEVER felt so comfortable. He is so compassionate and listens to your every word. I TRULY trust him with my life and anyone else. Thanks
