The Most Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Hayashi was so consoling and encouraging when I saw him after my mammogram indicating that I had breast cancer. He reassured me that it was entirely curable, and after his surgery and radiation treatment, I am entirely cancer free. Dr. Hayashi saved my life. What more can I say? I am so grateful for all that he has done. His expertise is unsurpassed.

Amazing Surgeon, wonderful staff
Nothing is more scary than being told you have lung cancer and need a lobectomy. I was healthy, no symptoms and a non-smoker. But, after my first appt with Dr. Edwin Hayashi, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted. I knew I was in the best hands possible. My lobectomy was in August, 2022. He and his staff helped get all prelim/required tests scheduled quickly and efficiently so surgery could be scheduled asap. He performed VATS surgery and the scars are barely noticeable. He removed the lower left lobe and I believe 6 lymph nodes, my follow up appt a week after surgery was when he gave me the wonderful news that they got it all and lymph nodes were clear. Thank you for saving my life, Dr. Hayashi!

Amazing Surgeon
Dr Hyashi has performed 2 previous surgeries on me in the past 14 years. My doctors and I have chosen him a third time to remove a lobe of my lung due to cancer. He is the very best, from bedside manner to actual surgery. I am never disappointed in him. Neither will u b!

Dr. Hayashi saved my husband's life. He suffered for years with pancretitis and out of control diabetes, never knowing why. After having to retire due to constant hospitalizations and moving to SLO, Dr. Hayashi read his chart and saw his pancreas was full of calcification. He was sent to UCSF and lives without the use of his pancreas 10 years later. Thank you Dr. Hayashi! Had it not been for your knowledge and skills, he would have been dead long ago.

This review is not only for Edie and his incredible act of compassionate care but for their office staff scheduler Kim. I’m 27 I found out I had skin cancer 12 days before my wedding. Kim literally I feel like saved my life by getting me in two days before my wedding so that Dr. Hayashi could assure me I was in the best hands, that he cares, and that he is part of my team now. I think the term that should be used to describe metanoia. I went in their filled with fear and felt like a new transformed person when I left. I will never forget the kindness Kim and the Dr. showed me.
