Some years ago I needed old ruptured implants removed. I did my research and chose this doctor bases on reputation and high scores. I left this Dr.’s office humiliated and knowing I would never return. He was fine right up until I said I had NO interest in getting new implants. He became extremely sarcastic, dismissive and cruel, even saying to me, with disgust, that if I had them removed without re-implantation my husband “would never want you again, you will be disfigured.” Mind you, my husband was in the room! I guess my full worth is measured in breast size?!? I had battled symptoms of BIL for years and had zero interest in putting those toxins back into my body. We were both stunned by his nasty comments and tone of voice. I found a wonderful doctor out of state, who removed them and left me with small but beautiful, soft, natural breasts again. If you want the implants, he may be your guy but if you want them out DO NOT put yourself into his misogynistic, cruel hands.

Very skilled surgeon. I went to him because he specializes in breast reconstruction. I was skeptical at first from other reviews saying that he criticized people on their weight. I gained a bunch of weight from breast implant illness, and was in a lot of pain. Prior to my visit with him, I knew my implant was ruptured after reconstruction. The initial plastic surgeon who put it in refused to take it out, kept delaying testing, saying the testing "can say anything" when they showed probable rupture, and even stopped returning my phone calls. Dr. Wilkins agreed to do an explant with capsulectomy. He did not make any comments about my weight, and for that I was grateful. 9 days after the surgery I had sepsis, and taken to a local hospital. The plastic surgeon there was going to operate on me without getting my heart rate down. Dr. Wilkins insisted I be transferred to his hospital and get my HR down before operation. He probably saved my life.

I am, at this time, very happy with the results of my surgery. I wasn't completely sure upon meeting him, however I was proven wrong. This doctor is meticulous, matter of fact, patient, and a teacher. I highly recommend Dr. Wilkins. I highly recommend his office, and I highly recommend all the others helping him.

Very cruel, authoritarian, and prone to outbursts. Of particular harm were his gratuitous references to my getting older (I am 57), my weight (I am moderately heavy), or attacks on my character. I needed a simple breast implant removal, without additional and costly cosmetic procedures. The implants were 28 years old, leaking, and I was in considerable pain. Wilkins' vicious demeanor put my emotional well being at risk. I caution patients against this arrogant, repugnant brat of a surgeon

Competent skilled surgeon with a pleasant surface and a capacity for being harshly judgmental and mean He has no understanding of the psychology of a cancer patient in terms of their capacity to take in information just once when they're hardly anxious. For patients who feel horrible I recommend they tried very hard to get a tough skin when spend time with him because the quality Of his work is wonderful
