Professional, Personable, Recommended
I saw Dr Fanous as a result of a referral. Initially. I saw his PA who was very personable and competent. He listened, asked pertinent questions, explained the procedure needed. I felt respected as a person as well as a patient. I had the procedure today. Dr Fanous spent time with me prior to and following the procedure. He & his hospital staff explained the process and procedure well. His bedside manner was refreshingly upbeat and pleasant. So often you experience just clinical coolness. Prior to my procedure I had to contact Dr Fanous’s office. My calls were either promptly handled or my calls were promptly returned. I don’t give 5 stars lightly and I take reviews seriously. I have a very good experience, start to finish, Office to hospital. Kudos to Daniel, Melissa and Melanie who took great care of me at Olympic plaza, double kudos to Danial for the best IV stick in a very very long time. I am very pleased to be a patient of Dr Fanous who has my confidence.

Dr Fanous has been my gastroenterologist for several years. He and his office staff have always been so helpful and caring. I'm a registered nurse and have worked with many doctors during my career and I can truthfully say that he is one of the best!

If LESS THAN 1 STAR could be left, that would fit this review! I only wish I had read the buyer-beware negative reports from other patients BEFORE making the initial appointment with him! I've discovered they are VERY ACCURATE!! Dr. Fanous may be medically knowledgeable, but in his demeanor, attitude, office atmosphere, his practice overall (including his staff, with the exception of Eric, the PA), he's not competent as a people-doctor! His policies & attitude (and that of his nurse Tara & other office staff) demonstrate repeatedly that he is most uncaring & doesn't respect the AHA Patient's Bill of Rights (an assessment not only personally witnessed, but also noted by another known GI dr. with many years of experience). In that, he doesn't abide by Rule of Law! Also, he does not provide phone conferencing or other communication of test results for patients who can't return to the office. He doesn't attempt to accommodate patients with alternatives. If you need a GI dr., go ELSEWHERE!

Dr. Fanous is a great Doctor who is very friendly and wonderful bedside manner and takes the time to explain your concerns. Terra his nurse is also great. Dr. Fanous is blessed to have her. Only complaint is with the receptionist Allison, she makes you feel unwelcome, not friendly, everyone can have a bad day, but this is all the time. She is the first one you see and sets the tone for the entire visit.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Fanous?
I was a new patient dealing with a new disease (pancreatitis) and all the nurse practitioner did was confirm my symptoms and tell me about a procedure. There was no compassion or even an attempt to calm my fears. When I asked when I would see the doctor about this I was told that the doctor would talk to me at the hospital before the procedure. WHILE I WAS BEING PREPPED. I wouldn’t see him before then. I was also told he would want to see me in two months for a follow-up. Two months? I asked if I was going to have to wait two months for the results? No, I was told. He would talk to me after the procedure. After the procedure while I was coming off sedation? I was confused. That’s when the nurse, who was about 10 feet away from me, removed her masked, raised her voice, and started talking to me like I was a child. I DO NOT recommend this practice to anyone. If I could give less than one star, I would.

I have been going to Dr Fanous for over 4 years. I love his office. I don't know why everybody is leaving reviews about his office staff. They are very kind and always take the time to listen and help me with any problem that i may have. His PA and Medical assistant and the best. I only see Dr Fanous when I have a procedure but I see his staff every 6 months. I recommend him and his office to anyone who is in needs of a GI doctor

I have been using Dr. Fanous for 18 years. I like him. BUT the office staff that you have are pitiful, rude and unprofessional. They are going to be the reason you lose patients. I’m laying in the Las Vegas hospital right now. It’s Thursday and I have been trying to get in touch with you since Saturday morning when I had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital because my Crohn's flared up while on vacation.

We have known Dr. Fanous since the 90's, when he diagnosed my son with a severe case of ulcerative colitis. Dr. Fanous is a highly skilled, and extremely knowledgeable physician. His bedside manner is comforting, and you know he will do everything in his power to take care of you. We are so grateful to have him both as our doctor, and our friend. Thank you, Dr. Fanous, for being the BEST of the BEST!

His medical assistant and PA wont even give you the time of day. Even if you are so ill that you have missed work for two weeks... don't expect a call back or any type of personalized care. I hear Dr Fanous has poor bedside manner but I wouldn't know because the only time I've seen him I was sedated for surgery....

I had a colonoscopy consult appointment, did not see Dr Fanous; however, staff member was so rude, I declined any further service from this Dr. When a patient is having a first time procedure and very nervous, there is No acceptable reason for rude staff. It is a reflection on the Dr. I was terrified to allow them to be part of any procedure on me. Sad.
