Good Experience
Dr. Abed was very pleasant and informative. He gave me a lot of good information and helped to expel some bad information. His office staff and nurse were all very nice and efficient! There was no waiting and I was in and out in 15 minutes.

Diabetic Appointment
I was excited that he recommended for me to go get diabetic education on what new type of pump I would like to upgrade to this fall. He set me up for them to call for an appointment with a pump educator. I really appreciated the referral.

Didn’t allow for questions, too fast
Dr. Abed seemed to be in a real hurry. It was my first endocrinologist visit and I was brand new to a diagnosis, but he never gave me a moment to really speak. When he asked questions, he spoke down to my answers. He was in too much of a rush to allow me to ask questions. When he was talking about new med dosages, I tried to write it down and he blew me off saying, “It will all be in your visit summary.” When I got home, I had to call the nurse because the new dosage wasn’t included in the summary. The nurse and front desk staff were great, but Dr. Abed didn’t seem to care if I understood anything about the whirlwind visit I had just endured. It’s my understanding from my primary care physician that you see the PA on subsequent visits, although Dr. Abed didn’t give me the opportunity to ask. I hope the PA does a better job at realizing there’s an actual patient in the room, or I will have to seek out a different Endocrinology specialist.

Dr Abed already knew my medical history when he came into the room. That was impressive to me because this was my first visit. He was knowledgeable about my hypothyroidism and how it relates as an afib trigger. He changed my thyroid med, ordered labs and other tests. After struggling with my thyroid triggers for too long I am feeling more confident Dr Abed can help me. I would recommend him. He is also addressing concerns with osteoporosis meds.

Absolutely amazing doctor; would highly recommend!
Front desk ladies are usually pretty nice, but sometimes give off a cold shoulder attitude. The nurse who calls your name, takes vitals and puts us in the room are absolutely amazing. They talk, joke and treat ya like a human being and not a number; great nurses.I can't say enough about how awesome Dr. Abed is. He is a no-nonsense kind of doctor and we love it! He knows you and your chart, before he even comes in the room. He then goes over the results with you and tells you what needs to be done to fix it (if fixable). He also asks if you have questions. He answers them honestly! He does not sugar-coat anything; he tells ya how it is and that is what we just love. If he sees something in your chart, he immediately addresses the issues and says, let's nip this in the bud...now! We thank the Lord for bringing us to Dr. Abed; he has helped my husband tremendously.

Worst experience
My Primary Care Physician referred me to see an Endocrinologist for possible Cushing Disease and High Cortisol levels. So this was my first time seeing Dr. Abed. From the time he walked into the exam room he was rude, impatient and extremely unprofessional. Any time a question was asked his answer was 'you can't blame me for that'. He stated my doctor had performed all inaccurate testing prior to my appointment and that's why I should have seen an endocrinologist. As a patient I must trust that the physicians caring for me place the oath that they have taken to care for me above all. The Dr. exited the exam room and publicly ridiculed with other office staff myself and sister who had accompanied me to my appointment. I hate to think others will endure such a traumatic experience and time delay for future care and or treatment.

A Doctor Who Actually Listened
I have experienced thyroid issues for numerous years and was originally referred to a 'well known' Endocrinologist in Tulsa. That Endocrinologist refused listen, failed to evaluate my labs & told me to lose weight. After battling issues for 3-years, I asked my PCP to refer me to a new Endocrinologist. Fast forward 1-year for the time I have been seeing Dr. Abed... He actually listened to me, took note of my symptoms I have experienced over the past 4-years, compared my lab results to the prior Endocrinologist and correctly diagnosed me. After being prescribed the correct medication, I haven't felt this good in a very long time. All it took was a doctor who would LISTEN and see beyond my weight. In addition to having my thyroid issues corrected, I have lost 75-pounds and I am finally back to feeling great. I can't believe I wasted 3-years in working with the prior Endocrinologist. Thank you Dr. Abed for listening & caring!

Dr. Abed was very straightforward and helpful. I appreciate him giving me details of my diagnosis that I didn’t understand. My experience in office was great. I wish that experience would have continued post visit. My insurance and myself tried multiple times over the course of a week to reach the office and all messages went unanswered.
