Dr. Elina Burstyn, DO

I’m an older patient and don’t always feel comfortable at the doctors. Dr. Burstyn made me feel at ease. She was very gentle and didn’t rush me. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend her.

If you want a tubal ligation do not go to her. When I requested a tubal from her she required a letter from a counselor . I complied and had my counselor write a recommendation letter (and I was able to read this letter supporting me before it was sent). At my next appointment with Elena she lied and said that my counselor did not recommend a tubal ligation.If you need to get a tubal ligation do not go to this practice.

Dr. Burstyn is the best OBGYN in the area. She listens carefully, takes into consideration all the facts and every time recommends the right treatment and course of action. I highly recommend Dr. Burstyn to anyone who is looking for a doctor that is at the top of her profession and cares for her patients.

I'd been bringing up a health issue for DECADES--since my early 20s--and basically been pooh-poohed. "That happens..." "Not that uncommon..." "As you get older..." I was having increasing problems, including at work. For the first time in my life, I was really heard about this. Dr. Campagna referred me to Dr. Burstyn, who listened, empathized and gave me a prescription. Dr. Campagna followed up, I reported great progress, and she adjusted the dose, making me set for the first time ever. For a recent surgery, a nurse coordinator (I believe) called and during the interview put this RX and some other presciptions and vitamins on hold, well in advance. My troubles from then through the hospital stay made me even more grateful for this change in your life.

No bedside manner; she is somewhat cold. She wrote the wrong script for the imaging she wanted done, causing me to lose leave time at my job because the imaging office couldn’t do what she wanted. When I called Burstyn’s office and explained the problem I never received an apology. I left her and went to another doctor who actually cares about her patients, not just their wallets.

Doctor is good. The staff is very rude. They threatens the patients.

The staff at Capital Region OBGYN are all so warm and welcoming. The girls at the front always will go out of their way in order to answer a question for me or work with me when trying to fit an appointment into my busy schedule. Even though there can be a wait, it is always worth it in the end! The providers there are absolutely amazing and take their time during appointments. It has always been a pleasure coming to this office, and I would recommend this office to everyone!

Cold, careless, undignified. The front office staff are young and professionally inexperienced, rude. Don't expect a proper greeting. No degree of privacy at check-in/out- awful sliding windows they slam back 'n forth to speak. They double-book. I waited easily an hour most appointments, with a full bladder for ultrasounds. I was pregnant a second time at 40. They wanted to schedule 2 WKS AFTER I was found out I was pregnant. Lost baby before while waiting. Could have been prevented. Devasted.

Staff is kind and helpful. I was not a fan of the old billing manager (he was rude and uncaring) but the new girls are polite and professional. I love Dr. B and would recommend her to anyone!

Found this Dr on the Tricare website. I called and verified they took Tricare and are accepting new patients. The receptionist said yes. I then said I would like to make an appointment. She told me to hold while she asked her manager. (?) She came back 5 seconds later and said she spoke to her manager and they are NOT taking new Tricare patients. What? She JUST told me they did accept Tricare and were accepting new patients. She seemed very uncaring and rude. Very disappointed.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Burnstyn and her office. Every time I made an appointment I was told I would be seeing the doctor but every time I ended up with a PA. At my last appointment I had to demand to see her. I felt as though the office did not care for my baby and my wellbeing. I expressed specific concerns and they were not addressed! I had to chase after them to get any answers. Dr. Burnstyn was very rude she didn't even give me a chance to express my concerns! No bedside manner

It is always a comfort to know that we can ask her any question we want and she will answer answer them honestly without sugar coating anything and without making us feel stupid or ignored. She never brushes anything off and followed up and resolved recent scheduling issue for us immediately ( hospital was giving us a hard time)

My beautiful girls; you are my friends, my supporters and practically my family. Thank you so much for your endless support, love and patience through my pregnancy. I'm going to miss seeing you so much!

I cannot even tell you how severely disappointed I am in the "Manager" (who never even told us his name) of Dr. Burstyn's office (her husband). We never even were seen by Dr. Burstyn so I cannot tell you anything about that because we were refused care because of a form we would not sign. The form indicates that even if it is an INN network provider, if some ambiguous amount of time goes by and they do not get paid--they can BALANCE BILL YOU. Which is not allowed for INN providers-EVER. So not o
