Great visit
Incredibly thorough at explaining tests being completed in my first trimester, which I feel like is uncommon based on other experiences. Anticipated and answered all questions. Was kind and had a great presence. Would love to see her again.

Insensitive
Preface: I have a normal weight, my baby has a normal weight, and I have taken and passed 3 glucose tests screening for gestational diabetes. My blood work looks great, but I have a slightly bigger baby b/c I’m 5’ tall &husband is 6’1”. Dr. asked at the end of a sonogram how much weight I had gained this pregnancy. I told her I intentionally did not know because I struggled with anorexia before my pregnancy. She then asked “well what foods do you eat? What did you have for dinner last night?” And brought up my glucose tests as if she was surprised I had passed. I listed a range of foods from beans to fruit and veggies and rice and she then told me how I needed to cut back on my carbs. My blood work looks great, I live a healthy lifestyle, my baby is within normal weight range and so am I, AND I specifically tried to avoid the weight conversation because I told her I had an eating disorder and she still grilled me for about 10 minutes on my diet and suggested I “cut back on the carbs.”

Wonderful and caring physician
Dr. Ausbeck was the physician I saw for my 1st trimester scan and she was wonderful. Set my mind completely at ease. She was genuinely caring with regards to my wellbeing and my pregnancy. Highly recommend.

Made me feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable
Not helpful. Not comforting. Didn't see properly examine me. Poor judgement. Definitely made me feel like she stereotyped me. Didn't provide the care I deserved.

Awesome and Polite
Was very friendly and explained everything really well and shared the excitement with me once I found out the sex of the baby. I couldn't get over how comfortable she made me feel and I absolutely recommend her to anyone...
