Dr. Elizabeth Kane, MD

I have always only had my regular yearly check-ups with Dr. Kane. She was very kind and tactful when I saw her in 2022 for a lump I found in my breast. The only problem I have with her office is that no one ever answers the phone when I need to schedule an appointment. Almost always goes straight to voicemail and one has to wait for a callback. That's why I gave 4 stars.

I went to this practice to be seen by Dr. Kane on a recommendation. When I arrived, there was one other patient waiting to be seen. The patient learned she'd mixed up the date due to all her doctor's appointments for cancer and wasn't scheduled. The front desk attendant was not empathetic. I insisted to the attendant that the women could have my appointment. After a bit of back and forth, the front desk attendant agreed to allow her to be seen ahead of me. When it was my turn, the doctor did the shortest exam I have had in my 37 years of having them. I also had a question about a condition I had, and the doctor was unwilling to educate herself aside from my information. When I checked out the attendant apologized for her behavior and thanked me for stepping up for the other patient hence, the two stars. However, my feeling is that this practice is not a place for patients who need a doctor who is willing to learn or truly cares for their patients. I'll never go back.

Staff was professional and courteous. Wait time was not excessive. Dr. Kane is knowledgeable and kind.

I was called by the doctor's office telling me that I needed a Biopsy. I have anxiety and depression I was worrying so much I was telling my mother my mother said she was going tell her you worry alot. The nurse called my name my mother was going back with me and she said that she couldn't come in I was telling her that she wanted to talk to doctor Kane. Dr. Kane came in my mother was telling her that I have anxiety and depression she said I know because of the medication she take my mother was just letting her know I worry. The doctor started to do the Biopsy and she said she didn't wanted to do it here she said she wanted to do it at the hospital Blair would call me. I was waiting for a call she hadn't call I talk to the Receptionist Phyllis and I called again I spoke to Phyllis again she called Blair. Blair got on the phone she said they didn't have anything for November and they didn't December schedule yet she said she was going to call back. NEVER got appointment.

My new patient visit and experience was awesome from the moment i walk in the door until the end of the of my appointment. The front desk staff was polite,professional and courteous. Which is a game changer for me because within the past couple of years good friendly customer service is hard to find. Not to mention the office was extremely clean. My visit was with Dr. Elizabeth Kane and there again I was extremely impressed. She was very thorough in her examination of me and not only that she took the time to write down recommendations which to me speaks volumes about a person professionalism,integrity and character. I can go on and on about this office. I don't normally write long reviews but I felt it necessary to write a detailed review because of the outstanding medical treatment and customer service that I received. I Most definitely recommend this doctor and staff without hesitation.

Dr. Kane has been my doctor for some years now. I live about an hour away from her now, but I still come to her office. She always lets me know what’s going on while I’m in the room with her and she listens to my concerns, educating me on things I may have been unaware of. She’s very helpful and a great doctor. Her office staff is also very pleasant.

Dr. Kane was cold, sarcastic and lacked compassion. I have been through quite a bit in the last 3 years as I have had two still born children. Dr. Kane showed no compassion for my experience and actually questioned why I wanted to get pregnant again after my experience. She treated me like a number. She performed an unnecessary pelvic exam when I all I came in for was a consultation. I think she did the unnecessary exam in order to charge my insurance. I would not recommend her at all if you want a compassionate doctor that cares for your personal health and well being.

I have been going to this practice for over 40 years, but this was my first time seeing Dr. Elizabeth Kane. I was seen right on time and my experience with her was wonderful. She took her time to discuss my health and answer my questions. In the past I have always recommended this practice to younger women and women new to this area and I will continue to do so with high praise!

Dr. Elizabeth Kane couldn’t get out the room fast enough. She was literally walking away as I was trying to ask her questions. I came to her because I couldn’t get a clear understanding from another OB/GYN about an issue I was having. Her response to my questions were “I’ve been doing this a long time“. It was already stated on my medical forms that I had anxiety. She should’ve been expecting me to ask multiple questions. It seemed to really irritate her. She was rude. She rushed the exam. She did not try to make me feel at ease at all. Horrible experience.

I look forward to seeing Dr. Kane on my yearly visits. She is knowledgeable and caring. Always ready to listen to any concern I have and gives good followup advise and recommendations. The front desk staff is very helpful and efficient. I recommend her 100%.

I had a good experience with Dr. Kane, this was my first visit with her. Dr. Arthur Kane, her dad was my OBGYN for 25 years. She was very professional and personable. Dr. Kane took the time with care and addressed all my issues. She showed genuine concern for my health and well-being. My appointment was timely.

Great first visit with Dr. Kane. She was very personable and answered my questions with complete openness. She made sure to ask if I had done my mammogram and when I told her I did not, she sent the referral shortly after my appointment. i felt really comfortable with her and look forward to her being my Wellness physician.

Prior to moving out of state, I have been a patient of Dr Kane and really love how thorough and caring she is. I move 2 1/2 hours away so I stopped going to her. I went through 4 different Drs and NP’s but no one came close to the level of care Dr Kane has given me. So I decided to go back to her. After not seeing her for almost 5 years, she is still the same caring person, takes the time to explain things, listens to your concerns and very reassuring. I definitely think it is worth making the 2 1/2 hour drive to get great care and will continue to see her from here on.

This was my first visit to the Waldorf office. I was treated courteously by all of the staff. Dr. Kane listened to my concerns and answered my questions with care and patience.

I have been with this practice for 30 years and would not go anywhere else.

I've been seeing Dr. Elizabeth Kane for about 2 years now and feel satisfied with her as an overall professional. She took the time to listen to me fully and was not patronizing at all. I did explain that I'd done some research already and told her that I was not interested in a hysterectomy... she never tried to push it nor made me feel ignorant of medical procedures. She validated my feelings and moved towards a more realistic and non-invasive approach!

I have been going to Dr. Elizabeth Kane for several years. The staff is always professional, courteous and efficient. Due to COVID, businesses have had to modify their processes. The office is always clean, but due to COVID they have gone above and beyond to ensure our safety and wellness.

So I had an appointment July 29, 2019 at 11:15am with Dr Elizabeth Kane. I arrived for the appointment a few minutes before 11am. I notified the not-so-friendly receptionist at the front desk that I have new insurance. With an odd smirk on her face, she told me that this would be a problem and that they need an insurance ID card. I had my husband fax the card over and just as the fax was going through, Dr Elizabeth Kane came out and said that I would not be able to be seen because they didn’t have my new insurance card prior to my appointment time and that the 15 minute grace period is up. Let me remind you that the average time I spend waiting in the waiting room to see the doctor at this office is 30 minutes. In the week following this appointment, I had three doctors appointments and was able to change my insurance information in each of them with no problem what-so-ever and without showing them an insurance card. Refusing to see me was insensitive and unfair at best.

I would never recommend this office to anyone. I have seen both Dr. E Kane and the nurse practioner Helen Hannah; both have been poor in bedside manners. Procedures feel rushed, and even they couldn't find out what was causing my mother's flares. On top of the rude behavior, their office staff are inconsistent with billing. Upon receiving my annual "free" check-up; I was told I owe $200, and wasnt allowed to see the doctor until paid. The billing staff are thieves and will bill inaccuracies
