I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Lawler's office. I was referred to her in August 2024, and was understanding of scheduling being around 6 months behind. I finally heard back from her office in February 2025. I was unable to take the call at the time, but called back a few days later to schedule an appointment. The receptionist claimed to not be able to find my name anywhere. Halfway through speaking with this person, Lawler herself interrupts on the call to abruptly ask who I am and tell me that she's "got a knack for remembering names"; I tell her who I am only for her to say "oh yeah, that was a long time ago and you're going to have to start the entire referral process over. We have to prioritize the patients in our system who call back." Not only was I treated poorly and made to feel insignificant, but to be told to "start over" a referral process that is taking 6 months to 1 year in the local area...unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The utter lack of communication and dismissive attitude was not only surprising, but abhorrent. I would not recommend Dr. Lawler to anyone seeking attentive and considerate care. What a waste of time and resources.

The best
Dr Elizabeth Lawler has helped me out so much. She is on top of her game particularly when it comes to managing my thyroid after removal and my diabetes. She’s very patient friendly talkative and takes a lot of time with her patience I highly recommend.

Total incompetence, lacking professionalism
Not only are appointments hard to get, you can't even get a call thru to their office, the just don't answer. Took over a week just to read a simple lab report, then they tell you your prescription was sent, but after two days they still don't have it. I guess they lie as well. I rue the day I ever walked in her office. I will be firing her and searching for anyone else, even if I have to travel out of state. Avoid her like the plaque.

Dr. Lawler is very compassionate and understanding. She takes the time to listen, is very thorough, and explains things in a way that I can understand. She addresses all of my questions and concerns. I am so glad she is my Endocrinologist. I have lived successfully with Type 1 diabetes for 55 years, and she has been most helpful to me. I highly recommend her.

I love Dr. Lawler's bedside manner, but her unwillingness to treat some of my concerns has made me wonder if she lacks necessary knowledge or if it's just too much trouble to find answers. The office staff is the most unfriendly in all of medicine and the office is filthy.

I love Dr. Lawler! She takes time with me, sorts out options, discusses recent medical studies and works WITH me instead of asking no questions and telling me what to do. The other reviewers are right though; her nursing staff and office staff leave MUCH to be desired. VERY unfriendly, unapproachable, etc. I've thought about going elsewhere because of the staff, but truly value having her as my doctor.

I'm very unhappy with this doctor. Trying to make an appointment is a major hassle. Trying to get prescription order refilled apparently is a service the office isn't able to do properly as it took me a week to get a new script for test strips for checking my blood sugar. Horrible service, horrible staff, very uneducated in healthcare. No one should waste their time with this doctor.

I would seriously question her schooling. According to her nurse, she doesn't even know what HCG is!! She prescribed my husband (who abuses orescimedications and who has stated he knows how to con doctors) Testosterone injections! Which he abuses as well but still believes him. It's clear she only cares about money and not caring for her patients. Sad.
