Dr. Elizabeth Lewis, MD

Today was supposed to be our 3rd visit with Dr. Lewis. I made our appointments a couple of months ago, drove 40 miles to get there today, only to be told we didn't have appointments! That wasn't the doctor's fault. On our first visit with Dr. Lewis, she sent lab requests to the hospital in our town. She used the wrong codes, so Medicare wouldn't cover some of the things. If not for one of the nurses in her office, it would have cost us about $700! And, we go to her for annual physicals, but basically all she does is renew our prescriptions. After today's oops, we'll be finding another doctor.

Very satisfactory. She reviewed my information, renewed my Rxs, referred me to a neurosurgeon for a severe back problem, had me x-rayed, and arranged other appointments. She is gentle, thorough, and I am very happy to have found a new doctor I feel I can trust. I'll probably up her rating to 5 star later.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! She saw my Daughter and instead of doing a biopsy to determine that she has oral cancer and refer my Daughter to UC Davis. Instead, she referred her to a specialist in Reno that did the simple biopsy and referred my Daughter to UC Davis were is waiting to get an appointment for a CT scan and MRI, she could have already been seen and probably had the surgery to remove the cancer if Dr Lewis had been more attentive.

Saw Dr. Lewis for a shoulder issue. Received a timely appointment, though exam, and immediate MRI and referral. Dr. Lewis was prompt with the appointment time and made two post visit personal calls to follow up on her referral and my condition. Her conscientiousness was startling and much appreciated.
