Dr. Elizabeth Prier, MD

I was diagnosed with a second DCIS in my right breast which required a mastectomy. I felt strongly that it could occur in the left. Breast and ask for a double mastectomy. Dr Prier refused to do this. Said the committee didn't think it was necessary. So I had left breast removed and almost to the day a year later had Cancer in the left breast as I had feared. This time not DCIS.Another surgery and recovery that could have been done a year earlier. Needles to say I found another surgeon and am very disappointed with Dr Prier.

Dr. Prier, prior to my appointment, thoroughly reviewed years of past medical information, consulted with another doctor and was timely at my mid day appointment. She answered all of my questions and was patient and pleasant. I feel she genuinely cared by me and my well being. She included my husband into the discussion as well, since he had questions. She asked many times if I understood what she was explaining, so that we were all on the same page and not lost in the information provided. I would recommend her highly.

Performed a lumpectomy yesterday. Visited before surgery and explained procedure. Was in touch with family after surgery.

Dr Prier went over everything during my visit. She explained the choices I will have available to me after my chemotherapy. I feel very secure and confident with her being my surgeon

Dr. Elizabeth Prier.MD is outstanding in her field. I highly recommend her for breast care no matter the circumstance. She made me feel comfortable when I was going thru a difficult time.

Dr. Prier provided myself and my husband a very informative briefing on my breast cancer diagnosis and the options available for treatment. We were both impressed with the detailed explanations of causation and treatment. She was very polite and professional, and I believe I have once again been guided to a competent surgeon in battling breast cancer. Since our visit her office has worked quickly to schedule appointments to get me into surgery within two weeks of my visit with her. Even though have been diagnosed with a slow growing cancer the sense of urgency provided by her and her staff has been awesome.

Very thorough is her explanation of my specific cancer. When a specific question came up during her presentation, she told me to not interrupt her. She left twice for other office issues. Waiting until the end to ask specific questions, she left, again, saying she would come back. she never did and I never got to ask my questions. During this difficult time of trying making hard decisions on my care, this hurt and was disappointing.

I’m more of a visual learner, so I was very impressed with her detailed explanations and illustrations. Yes, it was necessary to use the illustrations since the situation could get complicated. I appreciate that. I also realize that she must go through the detailed explanations over and over but she wasn’t rushed and was patient.

I was given so much information about what procedure I needed to have done. She told me about what to expect after surgery and going forward. I liked her thoughtfulness and straightforwardness. She is a good doctor. I wish she would be doing my surgery, but I am moving out of the area. But I have good info going forward.

Dr Prier is very through and organized. I’m happy to know that she is there. I moved from out of state and was not happy with the care there.it’s very reassuring now!

Informative, clear and well delivered

I had a breast skin biopsy

She explains everything very well and does not rush you. I was impressed that at my post op visit she brought up personal things we talked about at my first visit. That showed she cared about me. I would definitely recommend her to any woman having to go through breast cancer.

Dr. Prier was attentive, very professional, she made sure I knew exactly what she was explaining to me. I felt I totally understood my situation when I left. I feel very confident she will treat me as best as anyone could if not better. I have full confidence in her.

Great follow-up to great surgeries. So appreciate Dr. Prier's commitment to quality care, her responsiveness to questions, observations of need, and her suggestions for post-surgery best outcomes. I would head right back if I ever needed another surgery. Her staff and NP?PA? are equally high quality and personable.

Dr. Prier was very professional and took time to explain in detail my health concerns and answer questions. She was understanding, shared my concerns and wrote down answers to my questions so I could review details of my visit when I got home.

This was my first visit and Dr Prier was excellent! I felt very comfortable and sure that she was very confident and competent! Breast issues are always a bit scary, but I walked out feeling less anxious and sure that my concern had been properly addressed! She gave me the option of more testing or waiting and I really appreciated that! I choose to be pro active so I can quit being concerned! She agreed! Thank you Dr Prier for your kindness! I really appreciated it!

I went to see Dr. Prier for my six-month check up after cancer surgery. She is very professional, very easy to communicate with and to understand. I give her 5 stars.

Dr. Prier was so helpful in explaining my situation and different steps to manage it. I was pretty high strung when entering the office, but when I left, I bet my blood pressure dropped considerably. I felt more in control of what was happening to my body with her assistance. I am truly grateful for her expertise and patience in explaining all of my options.
