Knowledgeable but rushed / don't trust
I echo another reviewer. She comes across as knowledgeable; she is also rushed and seems to race through critical decisions. There have now been multiple interactions between me, her, and my family. With the totality of the interactions, I am discontinuing my care with her and advising others to do the same. Per another review, she recommended an additional surgical procedure related to one I was scheduled for the next day at the last minute. One doctor I spoke to after the procedure had very strong words for this approach to consent for a procedure covered by insurance but not endorsed by Boards because of the evidence this procedure is useless and can cause secondary issues (uvulectomy). Which it did for me - problems swallowing and a heightened gag reflex. Similar to the other review, there was no follow-up the morning after procedure (no stop by), and the office never followed up for the sleep study 6 months later. Recommend avoiding.

This is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen. She is patient, kind, insightful, and brilliant. She takes the time to address her patients individual concerns thoroughly while providing thoroughly explained options rather than simply ordering a test without explanation. I was blown away by her kindness, patience, level of individual care, and knowledge. She is also the premier expert in her field in Atlanta (go ahead and look her up). Simply put, Dr. Shaw is a role model for all doctors, and that is not hyperbole.

Be prepared to wait at least an hour to see this doctor. I waited an hour and a half and still never got to see her. Saw her once in the past, and she was very nice. As I said though, if you have an appointment, expect it to take all day.

Dr. Shaw & her nurse diagnosed me wrong, gave me 1.5 yrs of medication I didn't need, and didn't solve any of my issues. They performed an allergy test that supposedly identified that I had low level allergies to multiple things. I took sublingual drops but continued having problems. Re-tested for allergies when I moved cities and discovered I have NONE; I have nonallergic rhinitis. She completely missed it.

Dr. Shaw is an amazing doctor. After I broke my nose she walked me through what had happened structurally, how she would fix it, and completely put my mind at ease. She is warm, compassionate, knowledable - everything we look for in a doctor. She also expedited the entire process so I could put it behind me and still make the family camping trip! The staff is super too-very nice, prompt, capable. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr Shaw and her staff.

Dr Shaw had seen and performed very successful surgery on my mother, treated my husband ( a retired ENT) and myself. We all think she is wonderful. She is extremely kind and caring. My husband feels that she was very well trained and it shows. Her office is efficient and professional. I feel extremely happy that our family found her!

Dr. Shaw's office is the worst doctor's office I have ever dealt with. I had a sleep study conducted for sleep apnea. I was left with no follow ups, they lost my paper work from the sleep lab, and I had to personally coordinate between their office and the sleep lab. I have never seen a more dysfunctional, unorganized, and inconsiderate doctors office in my life. They lost all of my results and I was left having to follow up on the ENTIRE process myself. Severe lack of professionalism.
