Dr. Elizabeth Yanni, MD

I feel privileged to have Dr. Yanni as my primary care physician. I just had my annual visit with her and as always, she was thorough, interested and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of my visit. In addition to just the medical aspects of my visit, she's helping me with weight-loss efforts I'm making. The specialist providers she recommends are also excellent. Our 15 year-old daughter is also Dr. Yanni's patient and she's WONDERFUL with her. She addresses all of our daughter's concerns as a young teen (even the awkward stuff) and puts us both at ease so it isn't uncomfortable. I recommend Dr. Yanni without reservation to anyone interested. She's wonderful.

Great physician, listens to your symptoms.. does appropriate tests and does follow up with treatments accordingly.. highly recommend her

Dr Yanni does a great job. She cares about her patients and is well rounded in her knowledge. It can be difficult at times to get an appointment as she is extremely busy but she is an amazing doctor.

I had a terrible experience as well and will never be back to see this doctor period for all the reason I read in previous reviews. I must say, the Hoag Urgent Care is another story. I love how you can schedule an appointment on line and receive a text 45 minutes before your appointment. The days of waiting hours to see a doctor with urgent needs have so far, been over for me. Well done to them only.

Dr. Yanni's office has the rather grotesque policy of turning away a sick toddler because said toddler hasn't had her first *scheduled* appointment yet. Dr. Yanni's office said to take the toddler to Urgent Care instead and that we could bring her to Dr. Yanni for illness after the *scheduled* appointment -- which was in September. Abhorrent policy, callous disregard for health of patients. Curious what this doctor's policy was like before the rise of Urgent Care -- would her office have sent the toddler to the Emergency Room for a common cold before a generic first appointment?

Dr. Yanni was so late for my appointment the lights went out on me. She came in with nothing, no notes, file or computer. Did not bother to read my chart to learn of the simplest of my health issues. Now dealing with lab billing issues because of wrong billing codes.

Lack of professionalism during well-woman visit. Did not mind duplicate medical history questions asked, but did mind not knowing that intern was doing my pelvic exam until she was actually doing it!The exam was painful and took longer than necessary. Patient should have been asked privately by Dr. if ok with intern doing exam. Lack of interest and info on test results. Meds called into pharmacy. Dr. would not discuss over phone, had to make appt 5 days later. No regard for anxiety this caused.
