Dr. Emil Blanco, MD

I feel that I am under excellent care with Dr. Blanco and have been for over a decade plus. Have also been in remission for a long time as well.

Dr. Blanco was very thorough. He understood my issue and recommended next steps with which I concurred.

I was very concerned about a GI issue before making an appointment to meet with Dr. Blanco. He asked me numerous questions to gain insight into what I was feeling which were clear and comprehensive. I immediately felt at ease just after that initial appointment!After the tests were done, he sat with me to explain his findings and gave me an opportunity to ask him questions. The entire experience with him and his staff were very positive and I felt well taken care of.

Dr. Blanco is an excellent gastroenterologist providing excellent expertise in his field. Highly recommend!!!

Had a very good visit today with Dr Blanco He took his time with me & answered all the questions that I asked. He explained that my condition is very treatable & put me at ease with his caring demeanor.

Dr. Blanco came highly recommended from my sister. Extremely please from start to finish. Explained everything in detail and put me at ease. Fit me in for an endoscopy and everything went well. All the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Had a really wonderful visit. Dr Blanco spent a lot of time with me, LISTENING and asking great questions. Very approachable and knowledgeable, I felt very comfortable and really excited to have found him for my medical care. Wonderful bedside manner.

Smooth as could be from start to finish

Dr. Blanco rocks! I just moved into the area and had to find local medical providers. The whole colonoscopy thing-y was SO subjective, I opted for the nearest place (Gastroenterology Associates) and took the first available appointment and doctor. Turned out to be a blessing. Had a pre-meeting with Dr. Blanco and established that he was comfortable letting me do it without sedation. On the day of the procedure the staff brought me in on time, did everything super-efficiently, wheeled me into the procedure room and he was great. I had one minor twinge when the 'scope turned a corner, but that's anatomy, not driving skills. He spotted problems I couldn't even see and was as smooth and as professional as I could have asked for. Also a shout-out to his surgical assistant Christine who kept me focused (or distracted as the case may be) and calm. I was awake the whole time so I can actually attest to what they did and how they did it!

Dr. Blanco took time with me (sometimes after very long days) as I went through a series of tests. He was extremely caring and compassionate and patient as he thoroughly explained procedures, results and next steps. I highly recommend him and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Blanco is a wonderful Doctor Who really cares about his patients! He is so patient, caring, considerate and explains everything with the patient understands! So proud to call him my doctor!

High confidence in skill of Dr. E, however had to continually chase the office to schedule appointment (no call back from them). After procedure I had chronic diarrhea---I'm not one to be too worked up generally, however this went on for several weeks post procedure so raised my alarm. Spoke w/nurse about it--no call back. They don't use email. Rather than suggest fax maybe they should look into using a secure on-line patient communication portal? Or stay old school but actually call back.

Dr. Blanco did a colonoscopy for me. Prior to the procedure, I told him about my concerns with the anesthesia to be used. I had previously experienced anesthetic amnesia after a colonoscopy, I gave him the dosage of the anesthetics that had been used. When he did the colonoscopy on me he used the the same dosage of one of the anesthetics and I had a similar reaction. Also, my heart rate was so low that I had to be given a med to reverse it. I would not recommend him.

I was very impressed by Dr Blanco. He took a lot of time to understand and evaluate my problem and discuss my options with me, answered all my questions and concerns. He explained every little step of what he was going to do and that helped me to relax and feel comfortable and safe. He was the first doctor in 20 yrs who ever asked me, what reactions the meds, I am allergic to, would cause. Chapeau!

Dr. Blanco is the best of the best. As someone who has a laundry list of medical mishaps, I can confidently say he is top of my list when it comes to medical professionals. When I lived in Manhattan, I would take the train into Fairfield just to see him because there were no other gastroenterologists that seemed to live up to his standards. The consistent care, support and 1:1 patient time is unlike any other practice. Dr. Blanco and his team go above and beyond the call of duty.

Dr Blanco is an excellent, caring doctor who gives you his full attention. However, you might never be able to meet with him because it's difficult to get past his nursing/receptionist staff who pass you between each other and do not return phone calls. I'd like to recommend this doctor but can't because of his staff's unprofessionaliam.
