Dr. Emily Becker, DO

Took my son in for severe stomach pain. Painful to the touch in stomach area. Unable to walk or stand without being hunched over. Fever of 104 for over a week. She diagnosed 2 other things unrelated to the stomach pain. But she said the stomach pain she couldn’t pin point and that me as a mother I didn’t understand that the pain was just nausea. I took him to Downtown Norton after since she did not do anything about the stomach pain. Come to find out he had a ruptured appendix. She had 0 bed side manor and speaks to you and looks at you as if you have no clue what you’re talking about.

I took my son to the ER because of my pediatrician recommendation and this doc immediately walks in and acts like I was a burden to her and seemed annoyed. She was like so why are you here tonight?! I’m thinking, Did you not even look at his chart? No bedside manner whatsoever, the nurses treated him better (symptoms and cared). She shoved the ear instrument in his ear and made him cry. I felt like I’m paying a ton for an ER visit and got no help.

This doctor is rude with no bedside manners what so ever. I told to go to the ER when my child had a allergic reaction to something on his private parts. From the on call nurse. My son has a speech delay and asked is there something else wrong with him other then a speech delay I said no she asked if I was sure. She said the rash would go down if I bathed my son. I bath him he is never dirty. She said well he is a moody guy. Trust me I wouldn’t be there at 8 pm on a Saturday if I wasn’t sent.
