Dr. Emily Ernst, DPM

I found Dr. Ernst to be very thorough and compassionate. I have seen her for about a year; from my experience with her I would highly recommend her for your foot care specialist.

I wish I did not waste my time and gas money going there. So-called doctor Emily Ernst was not very knowledgeable the first time around and did not help me, but I still decided to give her another try. This time I was met with such a force of ignorance, lack of compassion and rudeness from receptionist that I decided that my painful feet will never step in this office again.

She misdiagnosed me and I ended up with an unnecessary surgery. Is she scalpel happy? Beware!

I saw Dr. Ernst this year for an issue with the ball of my foot. It was very painful and swollen. It kept me from doing the things that I love to do...walking, cycling, and ballroom dancing. Dr. Ernst is very knowledgeable and personable. She took time to exam my foot and explain to me what was going on with it. She treated it and my foot has been fine since then. I would not hesitate to see her again. I'm happy to refer her to others.

Purely profits driven

Unfortunately, I would not recommend Dr. Ernst. I saw her in 2018 after banging my ankle on our wooden coffee table. She took x-rays and did an exam and said I most likely damaged my deltoid ligament. She gave me a lace-up brace to wear for 8 weeks and, because it looked like it was improving, I was able to discontinue use. However, about a month later, it was getting worse again. I decided to see an orthopedic doctor this time (who was no help). In the time span from my initial visit with Dr. Ernst to now, I've seen a total of 6 different doctors (4 podiatrists, 2 orthopods). Only the last 2 doctors were any good and they were both at Southeast Ortho. It turns out, from an MRI I had done through SEO, I never damaged the deltoid ligament. All the damage was centered on the posterior tendon and the front of my ankle where I had a joint effusion (pseudoganglion). I had surgery on 9/2020 which revealed tons of scar tissue and released the PTT and I'm back to normal, finally!

Listened carefully and was able to help with foot znd ankle issues. Thanks to COVID, we had to delay a surgery(minor) and her office has continued to follow up and keep me informed of scheduling. I delayed the second time and still they stayed in contact. She is the person to see for sny ankle related issues

She is knowledgeable, asks you if you want to do a certain procedures, educates you on possible results, takes her time with you, always smiling, you feel she cares about you. Never a long wait, ever.

Dr Ernst in always o time for her apts. the surgery went exactly as she said and her bedside manner is great. I highly recommend her.

Seems rather young and inexperienced. Gives false hope of prognosis. Get a different opinion. So glad I did!

If I could give this doctor 0 stars I would. Seems very concerned at first and talks a big game but we saw no productivity. She dragged her feet a lot to the point where the feet where in jeopardy of amputation. She NEVER debrided the feet wounds. We switched care providers after she brushed us off because she was going to go on vacation and we are so thankful we found a podiatrist who saw the urgency and operated/debrided within a month under his care.

I was very pleased with Dr. Ernst and her professional but friendly attention to my problem. Her staff is also friendly and professional and I have already recommened her to two friends.

Just want to thank Dr. Ernst for all her efforts in helping me find the root of my feet problem. We still have work to do, but you have made this easier for me to handle. Thank you for going the extra mile. Thank you to the staff for being understanding and pleasant. Dr. Ernst, has taken her time and I never feel rushed, and listens to what the patient has to say. Thank you!

Dr. Ernst was very competent and the service was good. My complaint is with their bookkeeping department. Despite taking my insurance and my paying my co-pay, the billing office did not bill in a timely fashion. As a result, I received a bill ONE YEAR after the date of service provided. My insurance would cover it if it was billed in a timely fashion. But since they tried to bill me a YEAR later, my insurance will not pay. This is BAD BUSINESS!! I will report to the better business bureau too.

Dr. Ernst is fantastic with children. She really put my daughter and I at ease, and explained everything in easy to understand terms to her.
