I cannot thank Dr Carmody enough. She diagnosed my cancer when no one else knew what was going on, and she fixed my arm. She is kind, thorough, explains things well, and an absolute angel

Dr. Carmody is highly professional and I trust her judgment completely with my 82 year old mother's hip replacement. She is kind and courteous and always willing to listen to patient concerns and questions. I highly recommend her as an orthopedic surgeon at Highland Hospital.

She misdiagnosed my daughter, and said there was nothing wrong with her and that there was nothing else she could do for her. She couldn't have been more wrong! I would NEVER recommend her to ANYONE. Other doctors have made remarks as well when we tell them what we went through with her. NEVER AGAIN!

I had an office with Emily Carmody on November 30, 2017. I had a fractured heal that would require surgery. Doctor Carmody took the time to explain the surgery and recovery to me and my wife. I was quite apprehensive about the surgery and it's outcome. Doctor Carmody assured me that the heel bone could be repaired and given enough time, I would have the full use of my foot. After my surgery on December 11, 2017, Doctor Carmody met with my wife and informed her that the surgery was a success.

I think Dr. Carmody is an excellent surgeon, however there is definitely a lack of communication with her post-op staff and the patient. Important information was not shared before or after the surgery regarding pain medication, wound care and time need for recovery. If the procedure becomes more invasive and post-op procedures need to be changed, this needs to be communicated to the patient. This was not done in my case and i needed to make different plans for driving and time out of work.

The worst of the worst. Another money grabbing surgeon who could care less about post surgical care. Total lack of respect and empathy for the patient. She should not be allowed to practice on any human being.

She really isn't concerned at all about my mother's post surgical site infections (yes--plural). Her behavior is reprehensible. She shouldn't be practicing.

So disappointed with appt. Dr was abrupt & condescending with an unpleasant attitude. Cold bedside manner. Lack of empathy. Does not listen to patient's concerns. Felt rushed. Very arrogant. Felt like a number rather than a patient.

She was very abrupt and did not have any rapport. She did not seem to have knowledge of my background/medical history and acted like I was a waste of her time. I felt like a number and not a person.
