He’s worth the wait
Yes, you might have to sit for some time waiting to be seen. But that’s because he takes time to listen to patients and wants to solve problems.

I have been with him for 15 plus years. Under his supervision I was overdosing on medication I was taking for seizures that he had adjusted. He would not help me. I had to figure how to adjust the medication. These were the worst 6 weeks in my life. I lost 20 pounds. I was constantly nauseous. I couldn't eat. I started by eating bits of bread, then would vomit. I knew I had to eat so I continued. Sleep patterns changed. I couldn't sleep then slept very deeply. I couldn't focus, I couldn't walk, I was shaking. I tried contacting him, there was no response. One friend cared for me. If it wasn't for him, I would be lost and out on the street, literally. I didn't know what to do or where to go. Dr. Passaro would not and could not help me.

Horror
Within a few days after my discharge from Bayfront, I was dying, sick, delirious and in pain. I have you to thank for that. Without adequate explanation and with no consultation you added Donepezil to the already long list of prescriptions I was told to take at home. The hospital sent me home with a list of my prescriptions and their descriptions, but that list did not include Donepezil. I realized I was taking it only after some digging. When I did research about the drug I was horrified. Unfortunately, that research came only after five sweaty nights filled with horrendous nightmares, nausea, and little sleep, and days with no appetite. I lost 10 pounds in little more than a week And I. Once I found the problem, it went away. I blame you for that, and I will not be back to see you.

Don't bother with this place. Passaro's staff is horrible. Nobody has any sympathy for your situation and stand firm when they feel they need to reschedule your appointment. All you will hear is I'm sorry but this is the situation and I can't do anything for you. Cancelled my telemedicine appt one hour before I was supposed to have it. They lied from the beginning that he was not available and that I would need to meet with the PA. Now they came back and want to push me out over a month saying that he was not going to be available due to an emergency, I asked why does it matter since I was meeting with the PA. Then I was told I was meeting with both. If I knew originally he was available then I would have gone to the office to meet with him. What a joke since all I need is for them to send in a new order for a new Cpap since mine is one of those recalled that has been causing health issues in people. Do yourself a favor and find yourself another practice to go to..

I want to thank Dr. Passaro for the extension of my life. Doctor Passaro made a decision on how to handle my Large Oligodendroglioma/Astrocytoma Grade 2 Brain Tumor. I was the first person in the History of Pinellas County to be wide awake durring Brain Surgery 18 years ago on 8-26-2003. I was 35 years old. What Dr. Passaro did during my Surgery is called "Brain Mapping". Brain mapping helps the surgeon decide how much of the Tumor to take out. I can understand there is sometimes a long wait in his office, HOWEVER I would trade that in for an extension of my life. The Average life expectancy for a Grade 2 Oligo-Astrocytom Brain Tumor from Diagnosis is an average of 8-12 years. Keep in mind COVID 19 minimized Dr's availability time. Remember Doctors are human beings. Nobody is perfect. But what Dr Passaro did form me is priceless. Thanks Dr Passaro!!!

So you understand what you might be getting into, if you decide to choose to even try to see a physician at this office—When I first called in, paperwork was to be sent to me as a new patient. When I called to ask for it because my appointment was coming up, and it had not arrived, that was brushed off. I was told that it was okay if I had my telehealth appointment (without any type of signed agreement). It was going to be sent to me (after) I had my initial appointment. As far as I understand, being licensed under the same Florida state Board and having to carry liability insurance, I don’t think that was a wise decision. At the very least, not the best way to practice. Second, I had someone leave a voicemail from a different number than I had saved in my phone for this office, asking me for $250. I put 2 + 2 together, and saw that it was an extension through this physician’s office, and called the number that... Please see Google listing for full review.

If I could give zero stars, I would .I was overcharged on a co-pay that should have been zero. They charged me over $100. Instead of automatically refunding me when payment was received by the insurance company, I had to call to request payment. I had new insurance and was unaware that my new coverage had no copay for my specialist visit. I contacted the office in the beginning of December 2020. They told me it would be up to 30 days to issue a refund. When it was not received, I called again and continued to call, 5 times over the course of a month. Every time I called, the "administrator" who handles the refunds was not in the office. A message was taken with no call back. I still have not received my refund. The final call today, I was told by the receptionist that it would be 2 more weeks before it went out and the "administrator" was once again out of the office. I have been a patient for a few years and they could care less about me.

CROOKS- OVERCHARGING PATIENTS – Feb 04, 2021

Don’t waste your time with this office. Their office staff is incompetent and Dr Passaro has no bedside manner. They lost forms that we dropped off forever ago and then blamed me for not paying their fee they charge to fill forms...I wasn’t ever asked for it, how would I have known and what dr office charges to fill something out?! I have been trying for two weeks to get someone from the clinical side, including Dr Passaro, to call back with an explanation on a decision that Dr Passaro made....I’ve called 3 times and still no call back.We have had issues getting prescriptions sent to the pharmacy or for pick up...the ball is dropped regularly. How does a doctors office loose a form??? It’s the last straw, we’re done!

Thank God for Dr. Passaro! Yes, if you read anything negative about the wait- it’s true. However, being in the room with him, while he answers and addresses every concern is not what you usually get with any doctor. He is compassionate and experienced. We travel from Sarasota to see him in St. Pete because we have faith in his knowledge of treating our newly diagnosed 19 yr old son with epilepsy. He truly cares about our son, and so far- the only doctor we are confident about. While my son is up at college, it was necessary for him to refer a neurologist in the same town, and he checked out this doctor personally, to make sure it was the right fit. Dr. Passaro will take his time with you and he listens. Running late because he gives all of his patients the time that you too will want, is just how it goes.

I'm sure that Dr. Passaro is excellent in his specialties. He does not, however, evoke customer satisfaction when his wait times are anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours+. I went for my 2nd appointment today and asked how long the wait would be because the wait for my first appointment was over 1 hour. The staff eventually told me the wait would be 1.5-2 hours. So, I asked if I could call ahead next time and they said "No, he wants his patients to show up on time and wait." Unacceptable!

I hate going here. My first appointment took 4 hours in the waiting room. Sitting that long is bad for my health. I left there discouraged and knew it would not do a thing to improve my hand only made my back worse. s a waste. The second time was just as bad. Than they billled me instead of Medicaid. sitting for 4 to 5 hours. no dr is worth that stupid wait. . he puts me on expensive vitamin d which my insurance did not cover and another dr told me not to take that much I did not need it

I've been seeing Dr. Passaro for 14 years and have been very happy with him. I've never felt rushed through his office. Instead, I feel like my concerns are truly heard and I'm given as much information as I need to make a decision that's in the best interest of my health. That being said, if short wait times are important, this is not the place for you. He spends as much time with you as you need but because of that, very often runs behind schedule. My positive experience has made it worth it.
